I live in South Wales (Swansea) and I've been to Super Tomato many times. His prices are very reasonable to out right amazing. A fantastic shop!
That’s my local Gemma. I’m in there every time I’m in Cardiff Centre. Really great service and very helpful. Never leave empty handed. Highly recommended.
Prices are all over the shop in there. I've had some good deals on cheaper/basic items but anything with a bit of rarity is priced mega high (as in way over market value).
Love the Nintendo kiosk, though I would try to pair it up with an appropriate CRT TV. Also nice to see the SEGA SG-1000 Mark II down there.

Great to see another snes kiosk in the uk, I have the one on the original nintendo stand (M81c) with the original console. Used belong in a blockbusters !!! Densha de go is awesome, kids love playing it ( switch version) with the actual switch controller for it.. Awesome little shop !!!
Happy Birthday, Gemma. Thank you for the great video! This shop looks ace. I really liked the Dreamcast kiosk. I like how the shop seems to be named similarly to Super Potato in Japan. I went to Akihabara last year, it was awesome! I plan to go again next year.

What a rad store and owner! Sorry you didn't snag a SNES kiosk...this time. On the topic of game guides - long ago, I had a great one full of command-by-command solutions for old text adventures. I sold it because I thought it was redundant due to all of the online sources for game solutions that'd sprung up in the '90s. Well, those sites/newsgroups no longer exist in anything like the same way and I wish I still had the book! Never mind. Happy 41st birthday, mate. Maybe celebrate with a few games of Capcom shooter "1941: Counter Attack" :-)

25:34 Atari games, I had Activision Classics for PSP, which included 44 Atari 2600 games. I liked Pitfall! really much and game called Megamania, I used to play those games over 10 years ago. These days I have PSP 3000 and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. I'm looking for older games for my PSP, because I like retro-games really much.

That Kiosk need a CRT to properly do it justice, as these old games look pants on LCD's, you need those phosphors and scanlines to do the art justice, still cool though. I'd pair it with a nice 25" 600 TVL shadowmask personally, a presentation or arcade monitor will do the job nicely.

Nice shop that Tom has and very nice to to see the old SNES kiosk again. Was that one meant to be for a table top rather than having its own stand? I agree, there is something nice about driving a train, Train Sim is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me.
Man like X! So originally, the stands were sold separately for retail stores. These should clip on to the base units really easy 😄

The problem with shops is they now have to go out there way to get older games and usually pay a lot for them themselves. Years ago people would just trade them in to shops like this because ebay wasnt really a thing. So shops now charge silly prices for older games which is a shame and the reason i no longer collect retro stuff.
Interesting take on things. Every store runs differently.
That's not necessarily true. There maybe a collector who might have a 20 to 40 year-old games collection and decides to open a shop. The games may have cost a couple of pounds each but the collector want top Ebay prices for them. Today Every 2nd-hand shop or car boot seller looks on Ebay to see what their stuff is worth. Chain stores like CEX have people who buy games for them. Bulk-buying, Job-lots from Ebay etc. CEX used to do really good prices back in the day, But because of "CEX game collectors" on RUclips buying-up all the good retro stuff to resell on Ebay for big profit CEX aren't doing any good deals anymore. At the end of the day Shops are a business. The problem today is everybody wants the best stuff for cheap. If you want a vintage quality car you have to pay the money. It's the same for a top CRT TV or a Technics sound system with turntables. I sell some of my games on Ebay. I undercut my competition by 50 to 100 pounds on some items. And people just keep it in their Watch-list for months waiting for a lower price so they can make more money when they resell it.

I am definitely a sucker for a good game guide. Luckily for me, they don't sell well in my town, so my local used game store sells them to me for around $5-10 CAD when they do come in.
Burnout 2 was my favourite, crash for cash junctions were second to none 👌
I got two more Burnout games for the PS2 today too

The price was well over double what the market value is. You also have to be sensible. I don’t blame Tom for holding on to it. It’s mega sentimental for him

You got to feel bad for the owners of the shop. Because they paid and a whole lot of money to collect and save the retro gears it take them to show it off to the public. Sorry to many women but you couldn’t pay me enough to actually have me to sell my classic retro gear they were have stored away in a safe vault somewhere around soldiers of god! lol
