I have loved Jason Kayes music since the early top buzz days. I never knew he was involved in the social circles crowd. What a legend!! RIP Brother. You are missed beyond what you could ever imagine. RIP Magoo
One of the all time greats! The groove is unmatched. Would destroy a club or warehouse. Pity about the master but perhaps it wouldn't slap as hard without the clipping. Hope somebody still has the DAT. Vale Jason RIP.
It's so difficult to say, but it gets in to top 10 of the 97' era. You remember New Horizons and 500 ReKorDs. They made some bangers: "Find The Path" (In Your Mind) and "It's My House" both released in 1997.
One of them , yeah - this tune just gets better and better the further it unfolds . Str8🔥I used to bust this at venue after venue and there would be carnage. Steve Gurley is in a league of his own when it comes to production. Untouchable.
These tracks were made for mixing. Then the two step stuff came in and some DJs got bit more sloppy and started switching tracks quickly instead of holding mix.
Original London Pirate Radio All of that hoods up, crackpipe smoking, screwface in the rave 'brap brap' shit started with So Solid crew ....all went downhill from there, no more tunes like this, no more sexy girls at garage raves etc, true garage like this died in '99
I guess I get what you're trying to say, but ain't this some kind of progress? At least both styles/genres whatsoever can exist parallely and are related. For myself I love it when a grime tune samples a garage tune. Perfect fit. I hope for a huge comeback of garage bits in modern dance music but I also like the heavyness of sounds in grime tunes.
RIP JASON ONE OF THE ORIGINALS - FLY HIGH
