Miles Davis' second great quintet is one of my favorite bands of his, I also love his lost quintet which featured Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Dave Holland and Jack DeJohnette. Sadly this quintet was never recorded in the studio, hence the name lost quintet, however they do have some great live performances such as live in Copenhagen 1969 which you can find on youtube.
I think Pinocchio has to do with the melody stretching in the theme section, like Pinocchio's nose, stretching....probably looks like a line stretching if you transcribed the melody. Just a guess.
Do Sorcerer next! Man your reviews are great! There's not enough of this kind of content on the tube and your work is excellent.
Thank you sir

Thanks - will investigate.
The stand-out moment on Nefertiti is Tony Williams's outstanding drumming leading the rhythm section, we're you listening? 🎺🥁🎷🎹🎸🔥
We all hear different things in the same passage of music.
Thanks for yet another great review of a great album.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.
I love Madness
Love your reviews but have to ask what's up with the Lenin bust?
A souvenir from a trip my parents took to Moscow in the 80s. He’s a big fan of late 60s spiritual jazz, oddly enough.
And thank you!
Haha I also love late 60s spiritual jazz! Just picked up some Pharaoh Sanders! Keep doing your reviews thanks!
Hi! Where did you get the bust of Lenin'? :-D
My parents were teachers and they brought it back for me from a school trip they took to the USSR in 1988.

That’s as good a theory as any!
