Can't take morphine, I scratch my skin off. Stanford had me on a ketamine infusion for 5 days in-house every 3 months, slowly raising the dose. This procedure helped me more than anything. Too bad it's not done here on the east coast but with the cdc making all pain meds off limits. My life of forever pain now has no use,it's debilitating.
I am 39 who recently broke my wrist and was given K as they had to reset my wrist. I heard the nurse say we're giving you 2 mgs of k through iv. I had a near death experience and became one with the universe. I became a white blob on the wall and ceased to exist for awhile. Still trying to comprehend the experience. As I came back people's faces look like mud / silly putty. Also from the come down I did the woooo screaming. Definitely the most crazy experience ever.
As Army Medics Ketamine was typically used in conjunction with benzos, and sometimes OTFC [Fentanyl], possibly dilaudid.
Very interesting about the morphine pain scale. I've always found morphine to "not work on me". This explains why.
Sad that ketamine is so demonized due to abuse.

People have a similar reaction to vaping THC. It doesn't relieve pain but they don't care anymore.
