She was 7ish when they met I think, but Clarke basically raised her and taught her how to fight and all that. When Clarke says "I loved Lexa but it doesn't compare to the love I feel for you" she was saying it as if a mother would be talking to her daughter...it wasn't a creepy thing haha.
