It's ironic. She was so protective of those parrots that she wouldn't let Tyron have one, and because of that decision, the parrot is dead. A parrot died because she was too protective.

@Zepphyrre except her not wanting to give the parrots to him had nothing to do with race. it was because he was clueless on the species & the temperature to keep them at. if i were in her shoes i would do the same & you'd be freaking lying if you said you would. when he mentioned he had birds she said "well, this changes everything" meaning she was willing to give them to him so she knew he was black that time so no race did not matter. it was after the police came she said that.

If she loves and cares about an animal, there's absolutely nothing wrong with trying to make sure whoever is taking them will give them a good life. Especially when it's a parrot which can be very high maintainence and have a lot of people who would take them just to make profit because they're very pricy
