In fact I am certain Ugarte will not start as well. If Casemiro does not start vs Southampton, his confidence will plummet and Utd will still need him for the rest of the season. Garnarcho will not start this weekend vs Southampton. He is with the Argentina squad and South American players usually only return on Friday so there is not enough time to train or rest. In fact I am certain Ugarte will not start as well. Not just because of the same situation as Garnarcho, but also ETH will not throw Casemiro under the bus even though he had a horrendous game vs pool. If Casemiro does not start vs Southampton, his confidence will plummet and Utd will still need him for the rest of the season. Carabao cup should be the ideal game to start Garnarcho and Ugarte instead. So, Rashford and Amad this weekend, Garnarcho and Anthony in midweek.

Mark, im a professional strength and conditioning coach for pro athletes. Its very common that players seek outside training from their clubs / organizations. Happy to hop on a call or come on the show to talk about it. Theres definitely some pros and cons to it, and a lot of nuance

I said when Rasmus got injured this time that my concern is he could be injury prone and I got shot down. He’s 21 and this is his third or forth long term injury for us. The conversation has to happen and if he is going to be another bench warmer then a striker in January is vital!
