Yea it’s hard to find. I want to record (If I ever actually sit and do, not just fool) or find a artist who just uses great unique synth backings with a strait up melodic acoustic or electric guitar lead. I haven’t quite found that yet. I don’t want my backing synths to sound like other instruments. I want to turn all the odd banks into a synth backing with a melodic lead front. Or even a band. Take those meditation sounding banks, make progressions out of them and lead over that.

You know what..I tend to agree with you. I have an album I am working on with 'pure guitar' or guitars actually and where I hope to show of some of my techniques I don't use when writing the more commercial side of my repertoire. I always try and let the composition tell me how much technique I need to incorporate to get the story told...less is more normally wins the day....though I'm probably guilty of holding back a tad too much sometimes. Thanks for the constructive feedback.

Thanks for you kind word of encouragement. It's not always possible to reply to everyone but I always try to do my best when I can. The only reason why I am still able to afford to spend my time writing music is because of my fans and the people that purchase my music. As musicians we always need to remember that fact and not get above ourselves as so often happens to so called 'pop stars'.
