I bought my nc750x in 2016. This review is the best I've seen by far. Tnx for that. The nc750x is'nt the most "sexy" bike, but it is the best prized workhorse and most trustworthy companion on the mid-prized market.
Very nice review. Having passed my full test a couple weeks ago, this is a definite contender for my first big bike. I hope to use it as my sole transport so commuting in all weathers and the occasional trip to Scotland to visit relatives. Test riding one in a week, can't wait!

Great review. We lived in Virginia Water for a few years and I miss driving in the countryside over there. I would always tell my wife that England was a motorcyclists dream. We also lived in central London for two years, the last year during the covid lockdown. We didn't own a car in London, too much traffic. The normally busy streets of London were eerily quiet during the lockdown though, and I wished that I at least had a motorcycle to ride. We have since moved back to the US, narrowly missing the last lockdown the PM put in place in November of 2020. I enjoyed your riding style, thank you for the video. I have subscribed.
Thankyou so much for the comment and support. Yeah some great motorcycling roads pity the weather is not always the greatest. Where I live near the Yorkshire Derbyshire Dale’s is beautiful. Hello, first time I've watched your video. I found it hard to watch, camera moving around a lot, clarity of image poor due to shooting into the light.... I just wondered did you watch it before you put it on and what did you think? I know it's hard getting it right but thinking about where the sun is and fixing the camera image a bit more will help no end.
Graham thanks its only an issue on this vlog I had a filter on. Sometimes when I ride it depends how low the sun is with trees then sun etc it messes up. The camera has anti shake so not sure what you mean about that but will have a look. Thanks for the feedback it all helps very much appreciated. Take care 👍
The camera is a gopro which 90% of motovloggers use for this set up. Limitations on a helmet decide what cameras are usable. Can't please everyone thanks for your comment though. 👍
I don't know why people want screens. At least, not in hot countries. I'd cut the standard one down. Seats: it took me a ride from London to southwest Portugal to break a KTM 950 Adventure one in, then it was fine. I've never bought an aftermarket one. I am considering an NC DCT. The only thing I don't like about them is the cheap swingarm. The more NC DCT videos I watch, the more certain I am that I'd love this bike.
Its a great bike and I think if you look after it it will look after you. Another of bikes have something that may cause a problem but equally it may not. I'm not to precious about the screen but in driving rain and wind it does help. Thanks for comments 👍

Ah the good old back roads that lead to Holmfirth. I remember the "steep hill" into Holmfirth you went down, it's called Cinder Hills if I remember correctly. I used to take a bus down that in my bus driving days. Some great roads on a great bike and a very good review. My current steed, Kawasaki Vulcan S 650....another bike that is well underrated as is the NC750 X. I'll be cruising those roads again in the summertime!

@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE Thanks for the reply. I'm in Barnsley so not too far away. I did all the bus services in Penistone and the surrounding areas back in the 90's, some good times on some great roads. I always find myself heading your way on the bike, and up into Holmfirth and Holm Moss onto Woodhead. Roads are pretty bad in some places but I'm not into speed these days. One of my favourites is riding up to Winscar. Current bikes are 1990 Honda CBR 600 Benneton, 1987 VF400 and the Vulcan. Lets hope we get some decent riding this year.
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE Ive gone through so many bikes...and my riding horizons/aspirations have changed now. My present ride is a loaded KLR650 with all mod cons and luggage etc but it;s just not highway capable and my days of pounding off road on the gravel and dirt are done, so a nice DCT box with ABS and traction control is just the ticket.
I just picked up my NC last week...mostly lovin' it! I bought a new, old stock 2018 NC750 DCT ABS and saved almost 30% on the out the door price compared to the 2020 model here in Canada. A few things that I've noticed...Handlebar stop is ridiculously short, making for 3-point turns in my driveway. No oil sight glass (I'll remove the plastic engine cover and drill a hole in it if there is a sight glass on the engine side case). Headlight is terrible, almost as bad as the cars of the 70's. Engine gives off a lot of heat to the legs. "Frunk" tether strap is a little short (I'll change it out). Not a fan of the silver wheels as they will inevitably require frequent cleaning from the chain lube (but I knew that when I chose the '18). The seat does have a tendency to push you forward. The LED display characters are too small (let's face it, most NC riders are in their 50's and beyond). The fuel filler cap should have been located at the side of the bike below the pillion like the old BMW F650CS...and the belt drive would've been nice too. And finally...toooo much plastic. Things I like about the bike...DCT is frick'n awesome ( it's a small thing, but it's a thing...I've always sat at lights in N with my foot covering the rr. brake, and then did the "first gear shuffle" before pulling away...not now, just let off the foot brake and twist & go). Nice tall commanding view of traffic. Low slung weight makes for nice handling and cornering. Not as much power as my old 750 Sabre, but way more than my current CRF250L commuter. Low to no vibration at speed (mirrors are vibration free). It's early, but I'm expecting great fuel economy from the D mode with the occasional downshift for passing (MPG was near the top of my priorities for a new bike). Hazard lights are a cool feature. And the FRUNK, well, that's just bloody awesome...as long as it doesn't become like the junk drawer in the kitchen.
Wow that is a review and I probably share alot of those with you. It is strange that some small things mean alot. I love the DCT and yes alot of plastic but I'm guessing honda wanted to protect the frame and engine from the weather. I know what you mean about the seat I bought the Shad seat but to be honest doesn't really feel that much better. Thankyou so much for your viewing of my channel and you taking the time to comment. But appreciated. Stay safe 👍
Dupont chain wax... I get nearly zero doing on my silver wheels. A couple of rubber chair leg tips under the seat levels it out. Lots of videos on that
I've just bought one of these, (2017) and your video is really helpful because I thought my bike sounded rough but yours sounds exactly the same. My previous bike was a bmw f700gs which was quite quiet and smooth. Also mine has to be doing at least 60 before I can put it in 6th gear otherwise it feels rough.
Geoff it has got a great tone. I’ve had bikes where I wanted to change the exhaust because they are too quiet. The OEM exhaust is great but I bought the Grmoto for this only £125 which gives it a bit more grunt. Try to ignore the sound I’ve done that in the past and it has put me off. These days I do convince myself any sounds are normal until it breaks 👍 Thanks for your feedback and support of the channel it’s very much appreciated, stay safe 👍
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE Thanks for taking time to respond to the above. I suppose I am being unfair comparing an NC750 with a F750gs but for me it feels like going from a car to a tractor albeit the tractor has the same speed as the car. These bikes get rave reviews so I assume I must be missing something. I've only had it for a couple of days so hopefully I will get used to it. Otherwise in 12 months I will be going back to a gs.
I think when you have rode it a bit you may get to used to it. I’ve not had a gs so can’t really compare. Keep me updated please be interesting how this pans out for you. Ride safe 👍

To me I wouldn't say this is a good commuter bike but I would still love one. I sat on one yesterday and the seat height is a bit high and I'm 5'11". I have a 1985 Nighthawk and I like how my feet are flat on the ground when sitting on my bike.
They are so planted and easy to ride the s model is not as tall so worth considering or get some heeled boots that my help. Lovely bikes though. Cheers for comments very much appreciated, stay safe 👍
Never heard anything good about this bike. The TLDR of everyone's reviews is "It's OK not anything to get excited about" and it's pretty suspicious how there are so many for sale for dirt cheap. Do people hate it or regret their purchase idk
I've never heard a bad review but doesn't mean they are not out there. I lived it but did get rid for an africa twin which would be more suitable for me however this bike definitely paved the way. Thanks so much for comment very much appreciated. Stay safe 1👍
Are u joking...These bikes are fantastic...Look at the miles people put on these machines... I'm so impressed I'm going to buy a 2021 model....I've had loads of bikes over the last 40 yrs....Now I want a good touring bike and the storage frunk is ideal...Don't have to carry your lid...

@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE mee to, lots of bikes before, R1, R6, versys 650... and some classics, shadow, steed. Now I own 3, but the Honda I like the most. Practical, elegant, stable, controllable and economical. Drive safe!

I got (my wives bike) the 2014 type with dct , sometimes I have problems with the back it wants to break out to early in corners , my ktm 1190 has traction control and slights a bit but then you have a lot horse power on it and traction control saves my. So dct riders are more hardcore riders when they do not have traction control😉😁 I like the nc750x dct really good bike.
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE mmm, I put dunlop sportmax on it but still sometimes it will break out to fast for my fealing and I drive carefully with this honda , when I drove versys 650 I was more aggressive but had no problems , probabely something personal or dct. I prefer traction control on dct.
You know, every "professional" review I've watched on this bike, they all sort of brush it aside as not being capable of nothing more than commuting (As if commuting is a small deal). Then I watch NC 750X owner reviews, like this one, and it's an entirely different story. And you know, I think I'll trust the owners opinion. It's a good bike, a capable bike, it drives well, it goes everywhere (literally), it has enough power, it's affordable, it looks great, it's fuel consumption is almost unbeatable, it's a Honda and that alone is a lifetime guarantee that it's a damn good bike! .
19,000+ miles on mine in 2 years. Took it to Spain October 19 and rode 1500 miles in a week , no problems with the NC. DCT is great, bike is really economical and if you push it then it gets a move on no problem. Just use the gears. Always punch it down to 4th for an overtake, no problem. Great review.
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE Costs you more on fuel, huh! I love the AT but if you open it up you say bye to the speed limits. I need something quick enough but fun and economical.

These days I do convince myself any sounds are normal until it breaks 👍
Thanks for your feedback and support of the channel it’s very much appreciated, stay safe 👍
Ride safe 👍
Hi, I wonder if you can help me, I’m looking for crash bungs for my bike, it’s the 2022 model so may be a different part to your bike, but if you could let me know where you got them, I’d appreciate it.
Living not far from you in Ripponden
I think i still have mine mate somewhere in the garage if you want to dm me on my instagram account I will let you know. I got them off ebay around 175 pounds. 👍
Imagine if the trunk was a fuel tank at what something like 21 liters. Think of the range this thing would have.
Yes would be pretty untouchable👍
Yes, i don't mind having a frunk. Fuel range is way more important to some people. But the NC is just "ok" having a 14L tank (250miles).
Nice exhaust sound. What after market exhaust is it?
Hi Keith thanks for comment it’s a GR Moto carbon around £130 pounds 👍
cool bike cool review .. do you still use the bike ?
Hi thanks for appreciation. No unfortunately sold it on but do regret it now 👍
Hi! Having the experience on both bikes which one is more reasonable ? This one or AT? Can you give an honest comment?
I would like to say the Africa twin but the Honda ticked all the boxes. I am now selling the Africa twin as it doesn’t suit. Thanks for comment and subscribing I am very grateful. Stay safe 👍
Thanks for the reply. Stay safe and sound.Best regards.
@@serdarozaydiner you too buddy 👍
I would consider one of these if getting another bike. Would be useful for a pillion too by the look of it.
Great bikes you wouldn't be disappointed. Thanks for comment much appreciated. 👍
Great review and one that’s prompted to look yet again at the dct version 👍Regards John
Thanks John thanks for the support and feedback 👍
Just to let you know it only plays in mono !
Cheers mate im working on that it sounds OK my end 👍
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE Try it with headphones and you will hear your voice only playing on the left side.
Nice review of a cracking bike.
Hi James thanks very much for the comments much appreciated, stay safe
To me I wouldn't say this is a good commuter bike but I would still love one. I sat on one yesterday and the seat height is a bit high and I'm 5'11". I have a 1985 Nighthawk and I like how my feet are flat on the ground when sitting on my bike.
They are so planted and easy to ride the s model is not as tall so worth considering or get some heeled boots that my help. Lovely bikes though. Cheers for comments very much appreciated, stay safe 👍
Keep hold of the Nighthawk. They are becoming collectable.
The bikes to stay clear of are Triumphs....loads for sale....faulty TFT screens and electrics....not to mention the gearbox...Going for a new NXC
Excelent bike! Very economical on daily! 🤗 sound amazing, stable, controllable... it is not a show off bike, but definitely one of the safest! Drive safe 😎
I absolutely love it. Ordinarily I used to ride sports bikes and also harleys but this is by far one of the best and easiest to ride expecially on trips. Thanks buddy 👍
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE mee to, lots of bikes before, R1, R6, versys 650... and some classics, shadow, steed. Now I own 3, but the Honda I like the most. Practical, elegant, stable, controllable and economical. Drive safe!
Same with me , gsx-r's , versys 650 now ktm 1190 adventure, classic bikes but this honda is the most relaxed bike to drive.
I think riding a variety of bikes helps you appreciate the different characteristics. Thanks for comment 👍
I'm 5 ft 9 inches.. Will I be able to flat foot this or have it lowered? Thanks
I flat footed at 5,11 bit at 5,9 you may need to get it lowered 👍
This is a nice automatic. But nothing beats the solar powered Livewire Harley one speed. 100 mph and 🔌 in like a cell 📲
11:44 it’s not though. That was a joke from a Honda engineer that everyone took out of context and has spread like wildfire on the internet. It does have some similarities to the Honda Jazz engine, but it’s not half of one.
I’m not sure it was just what I heard. Thanks for pointing out. Stay safe 👍
Excellent demo excellent explanation 🙏🏼🙏🏼👍🤠🌸🍺🙋♂️💐📲
Thankyou so much for the comment much appreciated. Stay safe 👍

Si gracious Seniora.!.!!..!!!.
Hay u all .i never rode or operated moto, i always wanted to learn to ride.i am 55, 220lbs. I want a cruiser/adventure/ gravel/ 100 or 300 mile trip moto.I have driven a 4 cy honda clutch car for 25yrs. I dont want a bug goldwing or a ninja or a dirt moto, i believe this is my dream moto.Of course in need to pass the written test/ riding test at Dept of motor vehicle, then test ride diferent motos, but over all, is this a good beginer moto?
Very good first motorcycle. So easy to ride and it’s never to late to start riding. 👍
Did you start riding Ronald?
Hi what screen it is , looks good
Hi it is an aftermarket screen I paid around 54 pounds for. This is the product number copy and paste into ebay it should come up 352665101449
Thanks 👍
the windceens is the airmax light smoke ? or black?
Hi it’s light smoke 👍
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE Tnks a lot!!!
so torn between this and the CB500x
You won’t be disappointed with this 👍👍
Which did you buy?
It makes an excellent touring bike
Deffo cheers for comments.
Anyone have had any problems with the abs system?
I have never had any issues with abs
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE I just took the abs fuse off for now, because i nearly crashed due to that problem
What was the problem?
where did you buy that phone mount
Its from quadlock online. They are a little pricey but well worth it.

Wow
Thanks!
Good vlog. Ride safe
Cheers much appreciated 👍
I got (my wives bike) the 2014 type with dct , sometimes I have problems with the back it wants to break out to early in corners , my ktm 1190 has traction control and slights a bit but then you have a lot horse power on it and traction control saves my. So dct riders are more hardcore riders when they do not have traction control😉😁 I like the nc750x dct really good bike.
I never had the problem in the corners but then again i ride like miss daisy. Thanks for comment much appreciated 👍
How many wives you got then 😂
You know, every "professional" review I've watched on this bike, they all sort of brush it aside as not being capable of nothing more than commuting (As if commuting is a small deal).
Then I watch NC 750X owner reviews, like this one, and it's an entirely different story. And you know, I think I'll trust the owners opinion.
It's a good bike, a capable bike, it drives well, it goes everywhere (literally), it has enough power, it's affordable, it looks great, it's fuel consumption is almost unbeatable,
it's a Honda and that alone is a lifetime guarantee that it's a damn good bike! .
Absolutely thats exactly my view. You need to own one to appreciate its best and bad bits. Thanks for comment much appreciated. 👍
Thanks steve appreciate the comment. Great bikes i have an africa twin now but wonder why i ever got rid. Stay safe 👍
@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE Costs you more on fuel, huh! I love the AT but if you open it up you say bye to the speed limits. I need something quick enough but fun and economical.
it's a LCD Screen
I’m aware of that now but thanks 👍👍
GREAT REVIEW..
Thank-you very much appreciated. 👍👍👍
Looking directly into the sun couldn't see anything much of what you were trying to show us...
Yeah i had a filter on too. I've got a lower screen on now so atleast thats not in the way. Thanks for viewing and comment much appreciated! 👍

Ditch the fish eye lens. It's really naff.
I haven't got a fisheye lens? But thanks for comment much appreciated.
Constructive 🤣
