I'm a pimo from Cameroon. Amazing is the fact at least two bethelites in this video are no more Jehovah's witnesses : the one announcing the construction of the new bethel (7'50) is Joel Talarmin and the african man in 9'15 is Simeon Sangoniran. They have been disfellowshiped, one is practising hypnosis now and the other has opened his own church. Many ex-bethelites I know in Cameroon has abandoned this religion. You do a great job!!!
So maybe, they take down this video because of that too, because the peoples they are showing are DF's...
@@caraaca2415 May be. It seems they have been disfellowshiped for embezzlement related to the construction of this new bethel. Initially, the new bethel had to be build in another town (kribi). But some bethelites took a large part of the money supposed to be used for the acquisition of the land for themselves. That is why the new bethel has been built on a land already owned by the JW many years before.

I did think..seeing the desperate situations done are in..that the congregation in the first century had a poor Box..so why don't the elder look into that.
However..being told to go tk the government agencies is perhaps a way of demonstrating that Satans system is failing in the duties to provide sufficient for their citizens..
The crushing demands government faces after corona and the subsidising of incomes..here in the UK we had brevity.. now out of Europe..having opted foolishly left to fend for ourselves in many ways..making a hostile environment for many who were a great migrant labour force ..doing the work the people here won't do..
Drivers left the country at a time when the heavy goods drivers were in short supply.
Corona isolation meant there were no new drivers to replace retiring ones for a year as Driving Examinations centers were closed !(rev 19:17&18 the birds virus consumed the flesh of the horse and the ones seated on it.. much needed drivers of vehicles such as might be used in the army?)

The thought of how mad watchtower must be at apostates like you gives me so much joy, it gives me a reason to get out of bed in the morning. Watchtower takes down a couple of broadcasts, apostates immediately notice, figure out which segment was completely erased, and so they post it and analyze it. That must be so frustrating for them.

Getting through The pandemic has cost so much as governments have had to impose lockdown and the closure has meant people just didn't have the money to survive..here in the UK, financial assistance was provided many.

My sister is a missionary in a third world country. They have built a new bethel when people’s jobs were being dissolved. People were leaving Bethel service. After that, they built onto the new bethel. Of course, donations poured in from people who could barely feed their own families. 🤬🤬
That is disgusting. They should have used donations from JWs from other countries to help the JWs in central Africa.

There must be a ton of others who remember it though. In my book, and most other people too, you help the poor and despondent, not take from them.
We attended our weekday meeting yesterday. While I sat with my boys and my husband did sound, we texted each other back and forth while they showed the GB update #7. It’s so annoying and disgusting how they pat themselves on the back for the “help” they provide to refugees, only witness refugees! Guess what? Other organizations do much more without discriminating! Plus they said nothing , unless I missed it, about providing monetary help, only that they help them sign up for government programs!?! Yeah, most worldly people I know would do it too! In fact, when I arrived in Canada, it was a worldly person that helped me apply for citizenship and welfare!

@@snowwhite2709 unfortunately not yet. We live in my in-laws’ house and the housing market right now in our area is ridiculous so we’re hanging on for a little longer. Leaving would put us in a bit of a bad place. But we go to a Spanish hall and my boys don’t really understand plus I give them our tablets and old phones to play games so they aren’t paying attention.
This year they went trick or treating for the 1st time and they (and me too) had a blast!! We also just got back from a birthday party, they had so much fun! We now go to bd parties every time they get invited. They are 5 and 7 and we’re making up for lost time. If children having fun is wrong I don’t want to be right!
I guess for us is easy to go unnoticed doing some “worldly” things because being in the Spanish, even if there are other kid witnesses in their school we don’t know them because we don’t know anyone with children in the other congregations that attend our KH or are in our territory.
They don’t financially help anyone. Never have. They only take money from members.

Just last night I was talking to my mom on the phone (she's in her 70's) and going over what her bills are each month. It came out to $1048 in expenses and her social security check is $1030 a month. She has $500 in her checking account and she mentioned she donates $20 a month to the kingdom hall. I laid it out that she's slowly going broke and can't even afford to fix a tooth that she lost recently and she's donating $20 a month to a religion that has billions. She got very mad and told me it's none of my business and that I'm against the witnesses. I argued that I would say the same thing if she donated money to any other church when she can't afford to. She shut down the conversation right away.
I am so sorry... that breaks my heart to here. If she was in another church she might be able to actually get help not be taken advantage of

Why don't they make another little donation box in the halls and on the website that is specifically for helping the material needs of the brothers and sisters? Then they would have to actually help people in deeds and not just lipservice but I think the truth is no one on the governing body cares about actual regular witnesses and whether they are eating or have shelter.

As bad as the video is, I really don't believe they were thinking about the optics for this video. They were asking for donations specifically for the Bethel facility to be built. Once it was built, they took down the video because it was no longer needed. Watch Tower has no shame asking for money from anyone, so taking a video down because they were ashamed of the content doesn't make sense to me.

Do you think in the US, there is a loss of membership and donations? It's just crazy that they expect people to work or volunteer so many hours per month? Not many want to put up with that for long. Too many meetings, too much door to door. The GB must have really poor judgment.

We show our gratitude for all that Jehovah and Jesus have done for us by using our time, energy, and financial resources to advance the Kingdom work. For example, we can make ourselves available to help with constructing and maintaining buildings for pure worship.
So straight from their own mouth so to speak it’s important to maintain their realestate portfolio.
Our congregation hasn’t grown at all and in fact since I’ve been there over past 9 years and still apparently we need two extra flat screen tvs and a whole renovation of our hall.
You should totally donate money so that scammers can go to Africa, where many people are miserable, and lie to them telling them to not celebrate their birthdays and throw away all their toys to make them more miserable. That sounds like a great undertaking!

I just checked, and the population increase in Cameroon is more than the increase in publishers. In other words Cameroon shows no increase at all because of that. So in the last 11 years publishers have gone up by under 2%. That is very likely to be from children of existing publishers.
When I found out how much real estate the JW organization owned, and how they fleece their flock, it was the straw that broke this camel's back. I left back in 1994....and have never regretted it.

I don't remember everything in it but the one thing that stood out was when he said: all the things happening in the world and we Jehovah's Witnesses can do nothing about that. We need to focus on the preaching work alone. that is when I knew that the cult did not care about any of us. I did not leave at that time but it was not long after.
