Hello everyone! I'm playing through some of my favorite bass intros today. What bass lines did I miss? Let me know in the comments :)
Maybe not "iconic", but a great intro is Iced Earth's "Damien" intro!
Everything you added deserves to be there but your could add sweet child o mine by guns and roses or hard skool also by guns and roses
I think the most iconic bass intro for me is "stickin in my eye" by NOFX
One of the most iconic ones of the 2000's; Feel Good Inc. by Gorillaz
@@rodry3464 i heavily agree but probably just bc its the first song i ever learnt lol
Lounge act bass still gives me chills idk why
I just commented almost the same thing bruh
CUZ ITS AWESOME!!!!
cuz u goofy
@@gadda-da-vida cringe
Well I mean In my opinion It’s The Greatest Song on Nevermind
0:56 its cool seeing paul mccartney playing one of the classics
Lounge Act - Nirvana, Spiders - SOAD, Sober - Tool, and Would - AIC will always be my favorite bass intros
Don’t forget Rotten Apple
@@elkrumb9159 that is one hell of a bassline, but it doesn't stick out to me as much as would did if that makes sense
@@carter.6166 maybe I love both
ikr i thought for sure that would? would be one of them haha
Schism is more iconic than sober lol
things that amazed me, playing "hysteria" and "around the world" using pick
Hysteria is much easier to play with a pick than fingers imo. But fair enough on Around the World, lol.
The most obvious one you missed to me is Another One Bites The Dust. IMO the most iconic bass into ever.
i’m with you friend
I guess we all know it so its unnecessary to mention
@@juliodeasis417 fr?
@@albertojaubert that's my opinion take it or leave it idc
@@juliodeasis417 okey man don’t be rude :(
Props for including Fuzagi and AFI, those riffs are so fun to play but I'd also throw in Spiders and Mr. Jack from System of a Down, definitely some of Shavo's best playing as well as So This Is Love? by Van Halen and The Less I Know The Better and Feels Like We Only Go Backwards by Tame Impala
Thank you! I'll have to check those out
@@DanielSwisherMusic No problem man, they're definitely great songs and a total jam to play with
Adding to this list, not a complex one, but a great one, Gods of War by Def Leppard
The day we see this guy play fingerstyle will be more exciting than coming into contact with a species from another planet.
Awesome job! One that (idk if you like this one but I do) I really like is the Dance Dance bassline by Fall Out Boy. I recently learned it and it’s fun to play. Not too hard. Also the When I Come Around bassline is fun.
I was amazed when you played Carousel by Blink-182!! I absolutely love this song
Wasn’t expecting to see Fugazi and AFI in the mix, nice!!
Thanks man!
Another awesome bass intro: parents by Descendents, another one bites the dust by Queen, sweet emotion by Aerosmith, no one knows by Green Day and epiphany by Bad Religion.
Also N.I.B
no one knows is awesome, but a proper deep cut which ig is why it’s not on here
Was waiting for Waiting Room. Glad you didn't keep me waiting :)
Your bass tone on RHCP was KILLER
one bass intro i'm rather fond of (not super iconic so I get why it's not here) is Give Em Hell, Kid by My Chemical Romance
Thats one of MCRs best basslines for sure! It's up there with the Bass Solo in The Sharpest Lives!
I was surprised when you didn't include Higher Ground for RHCP and Schism by Tool
Damn that bass tone comes through well on RUclips!
bro is vibeing
THE STONE ROSES - I WANNA BE ADORED
Pretty Nice Riffs!!!
another bass intro that i like is N.I.B from Black Sabbath
Awesome! for the next please includes the most iconic bass intro of all time... N.I.B
yes. agreed.
A personal favorite of mine is Headache by Motionless in White, I'd recommend it
If you do a part two, you have to do Dance Dance by Fall Out Boy
I was waiting for him to play it in this one 😭
Huge props for including Rise Against. Finally something different
My favorite Rise Against bass part is "The Dirt Whispered"
@@StonerWaifu nice one! Mine is the intro from "Endgame"
Well done bro! These bass lines are 100 percent iconic. I know this one isn't really iconic, but it's a great baseline in my opinion. Kill The DJ by Green Day. It may not be a popular song but the bass line slaps!
(No Pun Intended)
The Kill the DJ bassline is absolutely fantastic! I fully agree with this comment.
Goooood start of the vid
Nice vid! Another killer bass intro is in Peace Sells by Megadeth!
THANK YOU. 👏🏻
I love your tone
As a fellow Bass Picker I appreciate seeing this.
Rancid - Journey to the end’s bass intro is something else
Also sniff’s Sticking in my eyes
I was about to comment “what about for whom the bell tolls?”. But it was in there. Props for adding it!
Hysteria is good in theory, but actually trying to play it is another thing. Big up anyone who has that in their locker.
great songs ! rarelly times i see those songs on bass intro videos !
great pick on drones!!
Dmv and Jerry was a racecar driver are some good bass intros as well
I really love the bass in gotta get away my the offspring
Yes 😍
I love Drones, of course I always have to make sure it’s after Prayer of a Refugee
Oh wow, I have that exact bass! Great video man.
Awesome! Thank you
I was waiting some more like Peace Sells from Megadeth, Panic Attack from Dream Theater or WrathChild from Iron Maiden.
Awesome job dude!! That tone is freakin amazing!!
Schism tool...Great vid!
Amazing job and an amazing choice of songs, although I definitely would have thrown in Holiday in Cambodia, and either Walk Away by Anti-Flag or Something I Learned Today by Hüsker Dü, and while you did do these bands already, Man Overboard by blink-182 is super fun and so is Stuart and the Ave
Punk Paul mccartney is back :D
When i just thought bout fugazzi, dude covered it
Honorable mentions: Around the world- Daftpunk, My name is Mud- Primus
1:07 YYYEEEESSSS!!!!!!! :))
Damn, how amazing it is! ❤❤❤
Muse, GD, blink and RHCP bass lines are my favorite in general
It’s always good to hear some cool bass lines, thanks dudee
I clicked on this video hoping for Longview
I was not disappointed
Edit: AHHH WAITING ROOM
i saw your video and had to make sure that carousel was one here its what made 13 year old me fall in love with bass tbh lol
I think the most iconic bass intro is Another One Bites the Dust

Seriously no: Under Pressure or Another one Bites the Dust
W
Thank you thank you thank you for playing Bells correctly. Huge pet peeve of mine. Good stuff buddy.
Love the range in music you used. Get some Iron Maiden in there like "Killers" or "Invaders" Or some Queen. Great job and great choice in a bass!

Come together is actually played with a slide
I love playing lounge act all the time on bass
Im surprised lounge act is here
Its a pretty underrated track
I think lounge act is one of nirvana’s top 3 sickest songs!
@@finnstorie2498 gotta agree
im surprised seven nation army isnt there. everybody knows the riff so that surprises me
@@certifiedhitmaker6717 well its prolly because it wasnt actually played on a bass
limp bizkit - re-arranged is a good one forgotten
I am waiting for the Daniel Swisher/Daniel Thrasher collab
picked the whole way through
hysteria and around the world 😩😩😩
Very nice 👍
Me: "Wait but these aren't all Punk songs."
Me after reading the title again where it clearly doesn't say just punk intros: "Oh."
Surprised you played Hyseria with a pick ngl
You forget Pretty Vacant by Sex Pistols ,that intro always gives me goosebumps
Oh and Are you Gonna Be My Girl by Jet
I love this, I missed some obvious like Feel Good Inc or Seven Nation Army. Also Californication, Killing in the name or Brianstorm are great
Ace of spades
drones and waiting room 😌
Another good one is Anarchy Burger by The Vandals. I love that bass intro
u did come together and bell tolls dirty lmao
I think you should play Around the world, Hysteria, and For whom the bell tolls with fingerstyle. It just sounds better!
for whom the bell tolls with a pick and without distortion is the most cursed thing i listened to today
@@LucasNicolau-ys4kk And withouth slide
0:46 This bit kinda reminds me of Breadfan from the 1970's heavy metal band, Budgie.
lounge act was 🔥🔥🔥
Speed racer by hers would be cool
I was thinking of Longview when I saw the title and the first thing I hear is of course long view
National anthem - radiohead
I here for "For Whom The Bell Tolls" >:)
I like your bass colours. Mine are too normal
I just came here for the Longview
Your not alone
Man your tone on that Longview line is insane.. how did you get it?
In this video I used my Kemper profiling amp and used a Fender Bassman amp
