"Israelis have the responsibility to defend their citizens, those who have been kidnapped, and they failed."
    Same logic:
"Hamas have the responsibility to defend their citizens, those who suffer for the war they started"
    Them: "thats illegal!"

Israel has enemies on all sides of its borders. Tell me what signs litter the streets of Iran? Also while we are at it, the wording of the Houthis flag? Come back with the answer and then we can talk?

We often forgot that in order to get respect we have to earn some respect. Treat people the way you expect to be treated. Thank you very much.

It would also be nice to hear from a Palestinian peace activist.
In the grand scheme of war, hostages are never the main objective.
    Salam and Shalom.

This is no longer a war this is a genocide. And the apartheid has been going on for 80 years. Any people will be hard pressed to protest for peace when on a daily base you need to run for bombs or water and food. every day have to be scared they will take your home or put you in administrative detention(which is illegal by international standards yet there is over 20 000 in it including children).
As a Dutchman if i grew up in Palestine, i would not wish Israel any good.

Gershon is blaming Israel more than the perpetrators Hamas. Just another reason why this clown isn’t listened to. He had his 5 minutes of fame with the 2011 deal that even he admits was a bad deal. So I guess congrats on being a part of a crappy deal in 2011. This guy is washed up and never met a camera and microphone he didnt like.
Most people want this war to end, however, most people don’t grandstand like Baskin. He usually regales the interview with personal anecdotes about his contact with Egyptian intel officers and how he knows Gazans. Blaming Israel, while they did mess up, for what happened more than the actual murderers is a real low blow and exposes his bias and hypocrisy

Goodness me. How, pray tell, could ANYONE think that killing the lead ceasefire negotiator could hinder peace efforts? It's a puzzle, I know.

Does it really make any sense if Israel agree to resume ceasefire talk? Anyone, having a pinch of brain, would understood that it’s Netanyahu's ill tactic to divert the issue. If I was a decision maker for Iran or the Resistance, I would not have stepped into the Israeli trap. Retaliation first and then discussion, if needed at all.
Israelis may learn from Bangladeshi recent student movement and end up the warmongering, failed government.

Why are politicians singing the song of bureaucracy when in reality, as eloquently described by Donald Trump, Israel wants to finish the job. The vale of votes and statements are ineffective against the right wing Israeli narrative. Are there alternate measures that can help align narrative and action?

DW's chyron reads "Hamas says almost 40,000 killed in Gaza". If DW don't like quoting Hamas then try this one instead: "186,000 people killed in Gaza according to world's leading medical journal, The Lancet"
