    I wonder how many other non-Japanese have become politicians in Japan?

      Technically he is japanese, you need citizenship to run for office
      But that's a good question, we'll have to find another to interview! I know he isn't the only one

      @@unpackingjapanshorts Yes, I figured he'd have to be a citizen, however, I was referring to his not being genetically Japanese. Having lived in Japan on and off for years (and being happily married into it for two decades), It's a wonderful surprise to see him. Thanks for the interview, he seems like a straight up fella.
