@@anitas5817 Thank you. I didn't understand that prior. 😊 I guessed after she asked which month I signed up for. It hasn't been addressed recently in the videos I had seen. I'm thankful for the explanation. 😊
I was finally able to do intermittent fasting and sleep at night! I have already lost a couple of pounds, 8 I think. It's been 3 weeks now. I've talked with my doctor about it and she said that fasting for 12 hours is something everyone in general should do. Thank you for the inspiration Jennifer. I don't think I would have tried IF if it wasn't for your videos. I find that you exude such a radiant beauty since you've been doing intermittent fasting.
I'm a little teary eyed writing this. I've been struggling with weight over the last decade and feared that diabetes was right around the corner. In the past, whenever I needed to lose some weight, I always had WW until it stopped working. I kept blaming myself. Perhaps I need to exercise harder, be better at tracking, stop this and do more of that. I've been following your journey on the 16:8. I tried it for a few days and my blood sugar got the best of me. I thought it wasn't for me. I was resistant to watch your two year video, a little envy I suppose, so I had it on my Play Later playlist for a few weeks. Out of desperation I listened and something about it clicked for me. When your video was over, I did research and listened to Dr. Jason Young and Gin Stephens. With the clean fasting approach, I decided that I was going to give it a month. I've been intermittent clean fasting between a 16:8 and a 18:6 since the beginning of May. After a couple of hard weeks of foggy headedness and hunger like a teenage boy, it subsided into amazing energy and mental clarity that I haven't had in years. Also, this slow weight loser lost five pounds breaking a six month plateau. At 54 I'm excited about my future and health. My eyes are clearer and my clothes are looser. Thank you so much for your passion and inspiration. Dr. Young should get the Nobel for this book The Obesity Code. As you share, I'll keep sharing my own progress. Keep preaching my friend. God bless you!
I watched you & one other lady & then decided to give this a try following the time guidelines & eating something good that I want (within reason) and using portion control. I started Tuesday & its now Friday & I’m showing a 4 lb loss. I know that is water & other stuff but I’m still blown away bec it’s been SO easy. I have found that, for some reason, when I wait till 11:30-12:00 to eat my first meal, it decreases my appetite for the rest of the day. I feel so in control. It’s hard to believe that breakfast and that late night snack were sabotaging me to the point of keeping me from losing. I don’t want to speak too quickly bec I can hardly believe this is happening. I know it will slow down but, still, if I can lose while eating this way, then I know I’ll reach my goal. Thank you for your common sense approach. I feel so free from the ‘diet’ meals that never satisfied me & kept me hungry. I’ll write in a week or so to say if I continue to have success. I wasn’t even going to weigh this morning bec I thought- No way - but I weighed anyway & it was down another pound. I’m just stunned. Happy but stunned!
Your little boy’s voice is the highlight of this video for me; how I miss those little hands and comments! Hiding in your bedroom to read and snack is chic: heard it here first. ☺️ Thanks for the encouragement, Julie 🌷

In my country we fill the artichokes with canned tuna oil and capers and olives and some breadcrumbs salt and pepper and some chopped parsley and boil it with some water and it turns out really good, your food looks all delicious and healthy
I really appreciate you showing fish and chips. Some people would have chosen to restart another moment where they could show only `perfect` meals. This can be discouraging when you are starting on a journey. I have often had days where things didn’t thaw in time, we ran out of time, we weren’t feeling best and that the best option was fish and chips or something of the sort. It sometimes made me feel like a failure. Yesterday, I chose to start IF. After 6 months of regular working out and working with a nutritionist on my emotional eating, I feel like I am ready for the next step in my weight lost journey. I am watching your video for inspiration and encouragement . Thank you
Hi Jennifer! I have also been intermittent fasting for maybe close to 2 years now. I think it is something I will always do as well. I feel fantastic, my weight is down, I have no more aches and pains (arthritis) and I sleep like a baby. As far as artichokes go, I melt grass fed butter in a little bowl and dip the meaty part of my artichoke leaf and scrap the meat and the butter off with my teeth. Its a real delicacy!
18:6 helps me maintain my weight. I used to be super extreme with fasting and got super sick, to discover that if i eat low carb and go for long walks everyday will produce results and i won’t get sick. I don’t recommended extreme fasting every single day. You will feel tired and weak because it’s not natural.

Thank you so much for your inspiring and lovely videos, I've been on 16:8 since 2nd January this year. I REALLY struggle with black coffee, I hate the taste and it makes me a bit nauseous & gives me heartburn, am I ok to put in a bit of plant milk, it has 2g of protein & 2 g of fat (No carbs) and total 25 calories, it smoothes my coffee and is much easier on my stomach. Is that ok?
@@mwebb3014 Sure! I make mine in a small food processor, with all the ingredients at room temperature. Process 1 egg for 20 seconds, add 1T Dijon mustard, 1T red wine vinegar, 1/4 tsp salt, and process 20 seconds. Use 1 Cup avocado oil, and with the processor at high speed, add oil very slowly, a few drops at a time and then a thin stream until about 1/4 of the oil is added. Continue to add oil slowly until all is mixed. Add 1tsp lemon juice and salt to taste. Refrigerate and try to use in one week. (Its important to add the oil slowly for it to emulsify, otherwise its too soupy. It usually takes about 5 minutes to mix it.)
Did you eat like this when you first started IF? I've been doing IF for at least six weeks now and haven't noticed any weight change 😏 Do you have any ideas on something I should try? Much love 💚 Your videos are so helpful, thank you 🌻
Low carb diet, walk 10,000 steps on an empty stomach. Consistency plus smaller eating windows, all this helped me lose all the postpartum weight plus more. After 3 kids i say low carb and IF plus walking all together works wonders. 💯🤍

I always love these videos. They help remind me to focus on vegetables and portions. I love IF! I do 16:8, lunch and dinner with a small snack in the middle like a yogurt and fruit or something. It’s really helped me too.
Jennifer, thanks to you for these videos, I have lost 18 pounds since April 1st. I've tried it before and failed but tried once again. I'm 73 years old, I get up at 4:30 am and bed at 10pm, so I'm hungry!! I can only do the 10 hour window but it is working!!
That’s what’s great about IF - it doesn’t have to be extreme to work! Just having the structure is helpful. Sounds like you have found a structure that is working great for you!
I really liked this and the air fryer recipes! I’ve tried intermittent fasting, but my long hectic hospital shifts made it harder than I could figure out. Seeing your time and ideas gives me some ideas i can try🙂👍
I would love a video on how you manage your time and energy from morning all the way to bedtime. I’ve been watching you for years and have no clue how you keep going throughout the day and get so much done…I am typically exhausted by 3pm!
Just curious Jennifer, what food is your weakness and how do you keep it in control? Mine is basically carbs: breads, rice and pastas!!! The only way I can keep them under control, is just not to allow them in my menu!!! I so appreciate and enjoy watching your videos...they are so calming and relaxing!!! Your little one has such a precious voice 💛...Everyone take care and enjoy the rest of the week and weekend, when it gets here!!!!!!!
Thanks Jennifer, for a great video, everything looks delicious! I like to eat artichokes, steamed like yours and served with melted butter vinaigrette, so good.
Hi, Jennifer💐A lovely video! I always enjoy these! I wanted to ask...how long did it take you to lose pounds on intermittent fasting? I did it for 2 months religiously, yet, I didn't lose a single pound😭
Oh, I love Cinque Terre Italy! Seeing the cover of that journal brought me back to traveling around Italy with my older sister in my late 20s and our day hiking through all 5 villages of Cinque Terre. Such an amazing day! ❤️❤️❤️
Oh man cinque terre is my FAVORITE place. Warm weather, white wine, fresh fish, pesto, lemons, lovely warm Italians and the rocky beaches. Little slice of heaven.
Great video, I always enjoy the cook with me or WIEIAD content! I loved that your son said “yum” to the cauliflower he stole off your plate haha!. My favorite way of cooking fish is the Julia Child way, with a squeeze of lemon, salt and pepper, pat of butter ontop, and broiled very close to the heat for about 5-7 minutes (no flipping). It makes a tender, delicious salmon.
As much as i love you what's for dinner videos, I'd love to see more what your family actually eats. It wouldn't be about IF as much, but I have a hard time to imagine your kids eating just a big piece of salmon and asparagus. So I'm curious how you adapt your dinners to the kids. Thanks for all your beautiful videos 👍
My kids all eat salmon and 2 out of 3 of them eat asparagus. I think her kids eat the same as she does. There may be substitutions here and there or one kid that might be picky about a certain food but I’m pretty sure they eat what she makes.
These all look delicious and easy to make, thanks for the inspiration. I love the blue floral tablecloth and sunflowers 🌻 absolutely beautiful table scape.
Thanks for the video Jennifer. I wonder, does Ben like the fish and chips as much as you, being from England? 😀 I have not had my evening meal yet and that fish and chips has got me wanting that. 🙃
I love these videos. And I’m now going to have to try artichokes with mayonnaise. I usually use a garlic melted butter. I am super curious about what sorts of things you write down in your self improvement journal. You said it’s things you’ve found helped you? Would you be willing to give any examples? I just turned 38 and am working on getting back to my most authentic self and this idea is intriguing.
thanks for sharing! you make Intermittent Fasting seem approachable. Do your children also eat the same breakfast and lunch as you and at the same time?
Hello Jennifer, Thank you for sharing you fasting journey with us. It seems such a natural way to approach any amount of weight loss. I think I have seen all your videos on this, I have one question, please anyone who knows....how long before you noticed weight loss and other changes in your body.
16:8, lunch at 11:30, dinner at 7, a small afternoon snack of yogurt or fruit, is working great for me. Weight loss is slow but steady - I’ve lost 14 lb since Jan. I’ve also added walking - also moderate. I walk about 20-25 min 4 or 5 times a week. Everything takes longer than you think, but I got tired of reading stories of other people who had lost large amounts of weight over 6 month or a year, and decided to just stick with it for a change. I always gave up too soon.
I’m so pleased to see the mayonnaise with your artichoke and asparagus, Jennifer. We always ate artichokes, asparagus, and broccoli with mayonnaise when I was growing up (and I think that’s probably the reason why they were my favorite vegetables as a child and remain some of my favorites). I haven’t met any people who do this too!
My family also does this. Now my husband loves veggies, he never did this growing up. My kids (1 and 2) favorite food in the world is broccoli and I think it is because of the mayonnaise. We just had guests over the other day and I was wondering why they were staring at us, they then finally brought up the mayonnaise. Luckily they tried it and loved it!
@@vchafab That’s so funny! Yes, my husband also happily got on board with the mayonnaise when we got married. 😆And when my dad comes over for dinner, and one of those veggies is for dinner, he always asks for mayo if it isn’t yet on the table-it makes me smile every time. I’m happy to know that other families do this! It seems very uncommon-others are missing out!
We always had mayo with broccoli and artichokes growing up. I thought everybody did it. Wow! How interesting...❤️🌻I'm loving Jennifers videos as well. I love how she keeps shining and sharing her gifts.
That's 3 meals n a snack squeezed in 8hrs, alot of food, how much have you lost doing this?. Im currently on 26th day of 18-6 IF. I have 2 smallish meals and a snack if I'm hungry, rarely though, I keep it to 800-900k, 100g protein and exercise 30min home workout.
I really want to start Intermittent Fasting but what food to eat confuses the crap out of me??? Now I always thought that with a 16:8 way of eating you began eating at say Midday and finish at 8.00pm at night? Or 11.00am to 7.00pm? Meaning you only have two meals a day? Am I wrong? I probably am. As I said I get confused with the whole eating part and that’s why I haven’t started. I think you said you have been doing it for 2 years, so it’s obviously working for you, and I have no right to query you. I’m just confused? Help?
I LOVE Artichokes! I steam it (40 minutes) . I serve it with a tiny individual rameken of melted salted butter. When I finally get down to the heart after thoroughly enjoying each leaf, I cut it into tiny pieces and put it into the rameken to make sure I get every last drop of butter. Yum
I have already lost 8 lbs in 4 weeks, doing the fasting + keto. I can notice a real difference in my skin- softer and smoother, and I don't feel groggy after sleep, and best yet, NO migraines since starting! And plenty of energy!
I always wonder how parents do IF with kids with kids in school and working or a working spouse. I like to have family meals together. Some research shows family mealtime is good for a child's emotional development. I guess I could just sit with them not eating?
Sharing meals together is top priority. Keep doing it. Her kids are schooled at home by her and others. She can control schedules better. Not sure what activities her four kids participate in, but I have two kids and we are busy. We still always prioritize meals together even though we have to be flexible with times.. 5:30 -7:30 pm sometime in those hours.
I have 5 year old twins and work full time, albeit work from home often, & I prepre our children breakfast & have coffee while they’ll eat. We then have dinner together and I don’t eat after that. Personally not snacking after dinner does wonders and I no longer make myself wait 16-18 hours. I usually go 14-16 hours. Do whatever works for you. :)
I can’t even eat artichokes without mayonnaise! My husband had me fry broccoli in Mayo which I was completely opposed to but it’s actually amazing. My favorite snack right now is air fryer broccoli dipped in mayonnaise
Thanks for this video Jennifer. I do enjoy your content. I have done IF for about 1 year and feel great. I am a snacker however and even though I only eating in the window, I think I would do even better without the snacking. I just wondered if your afternoon tea is your only food outside a meal? So no snacking?
Again, it definitely does not look like a deprivation diet or lifestyle, yet you can become and remain slim.. Fabulous! For the veggie dip for asparagus and artichoke I like melted butter and lemon as you would for lobster which I rarely have.. the fat is probably about the same as mayonnaise.
Some days when I’m (inadvertently) fasting, I find I’m ravenous when I sit down to eat. I won’t inhake my food, but I do eat it quickly. Do you feel like this? How to avoid?

I so appreciate and enjoy watching your videos...they are so calming and relaxing!!!
Your little one has such a precious voice 💛...Everyone take care and enjoy the rest of the week and weekend, when it gets here!!!!!!!
I love carbs and sweets :)
“Those are not my hands” made me laugh out loud 😂
I really don't care how my artichokes come as long as I can have them! They're wonderful!
Hi Jennifer, do your children have tea time with you or is it an “alone time”? Beautiful video, as always.
Thank You for your nice channel. Do Your husband and your children eat the same as you (but perhaps a little bit more:) for dinner ?
Great video, I always enjoy the cook with me or WIEIAD content! I loved that your son said “yum” to the cauliflower he stole off your plate haha!. My favorite way of cooking fish is the Julia Child way, with a squeeze of lemon, salt and pepper, pat of butter ontop, and broiled very close to the heat for about 5-7 minutes (no flipping). It makes a tender, delicious salmon.
I could watch these all day :)...I just love going through the meals with you and enjoying the non diet approach..Thank you for that..
Love these videos, I always get meal ideas and inspiration 😊
I have also become really passionate about IF. Thank you for the community! Remain classy!!
"That is not my hand" 😆 My mom always melted butter and added lemon juice and we would dip the leaves in it.
I love your videos 🩵
so why are you talking to your food, mommy? LOL that is too cute..and your hand is so little :-)..so real
What my child must think of me, ha!
These all look delicious and easy to make, thanks for the inspiration. I love the blue floral tablecloth and sunflowers 🌻 absolutely beautiful table scape.
I agree!!
Thank you!
This works for me lost 20 pounds
Thanks for the video Jennifer. I wonder, does Ben like the fish and chips as much as you, being from England? 😀 I have not had my evening meal yet and that fish and chips has got me wanting that. 🙃
He loves fish and chips!

Hello Jennifer,
Thank you for sharing you fasting journey with us.
It took me at least a few weeks to detect a change...
I tried your salmon glaze, it’s great & so easy! We have air fryer salmon once or twice a week, love it. Thanks for your videos!
Good morning Jennifer! That’s so crazy that your peaches are ripening already! Enjoy them 💕

This was helpful and indeed deliciously visual for me. Thank you!
Old habits die hard!
I really enjoy watching your what I eat in the day videos ❤️
Help?
Jennifer, I love dipping my artichoke leaves in mayonnaise mixed with some curry and cumin. I think you might enjoy this version.
I like melted irish butter with my artichokes.
We eat dinner together at 5. It works for our family...
Your white outfit is just perfect! 😍 love from Verona
I love artichoke with mayonnaise! Great video!
Love your style....
My favorite channel. 🌻
The 16:8 is really working out for me. 🌿
Excellent video,thanks
thank you
Hello Jennifer! I have an olive undertone and I love the colours you wear.. Would you say you also have an Olive undertone? x
