React to Adam Calhoun “ shook one’s”. Fire. As far as the racism song goes. You should watch Stevie knight’s interview with Adam. The track was meant to get people to actually talk instead of being divided by color or names.
Adam and Mesus are both from Illinois the Chicago area they both grew up battle rapping in Chi-raq and both got the pass from the homies to use the word because it's what they're called in the hood too.
I love that you did this one!! Thank you! Adam also did one with Krizz Kaliko. Its called Target Practice. Yes done several with Bubba too. Adam is from Chicago and so is Mesus aka Chuck. The been friends since they were like 16 and used to go into Chicago to battle rap together back then.
It's more about how there are good and bad characteristics in all races, and sometimes, we can all live up to the stereotypes set on us by others, as well as how the system sets up those situations to cause division within communities. It also shows the other side of how those stereotypes, though sometimes partially true, definitely aren't representative of our cultures as a whole. I think it's probably also important to note Adam's upbringing. He grew up with mixed groups in the hoods of Chicago, where those terminologies were most likely more acceptable and readily used amongst friends without more negative conitations.
He has soooo much that you're going to love. You won't always agree with him but the conversations need to continue and music is one of the most productive ways to do it. Once people stop talking & we start going backwards. Let's all hear each other. The real enemies are the ones who want us to hate each other. The people in control. Love your reactions and hope you continue to react to Adam too
Best Adam i can recommend are: "Climbing Mountains" Struggle, Adam and Caitlyn, "Stay Down" Adam, Struggle & Demun Jones, "Chrome" Tom, Adam, & Nova, "The Dollar" Adam, and "The Butcher" Adam. All are 🔥🔥🔥!
Answering your question, about the message from the 'Racism' song. I see him highlighting the different stereotypes that the mainstream media pushes (films, tv, etc..), and that whatever they say, there's always another side, we all bleed red, and shouldn't let them divide us. At least that's the summary of it. Like others have said, it's worth checking out Adams interview with Stevie Knight, in your own time, it'll answer it better than I can, and give you more insight into Adam. Whatever you do, subbed for the Tom, Dax and maybe Adam journey ;)
Appreciate you n appreciate that. I’ll give homie a chance but I gotta give em a break haahah. These last three messed my frequency n energy up low key! We going to late this simmer for a minute revisit watch the interview spin the block.. I just gotta adjust to the fan base n Audience now. I’ve invited unexpected energy with this guy. Truthfully I wasn’t ready! But we adjust come back n ready!
Ok UNC. Adam has a bunch of bangers... Shook ones, Mirrors with Tom and Mesus, Glass House with Mesus, Struggle Jennings ft.Caitlyn Curtis. Racism was just Adam pointing out the differences between stereotypes of good and bad white people as well as black people.
I can dig it n I respect the angle for certain I just don’t bang with a white rapper trying to put his message out there in that way. They are smart n know how to write n put the thoughts n ideas out there better than that imo. Cuz sometimes that approach will make folks shut you out n then you defeat the purpose of ya message too.. a lot more ignorant people out there than people with brains that can critically think etc but yeah other wise homie got talent man. Ina deff have to watch him explain it for me to get a better understanding on HIS angle for sure.. its only right I get the full understanding
@@unclebito61715 I feel ya.... Look man, I'm a 57 yo White dude that was born in N.Y. and grew up around ALL people and I don't like or use that word. I get it. Adam grew up in that same type of way in Chicago .Just subscribed because I am definitely here for your Tom reactions.... Cuz my introduction to rap was Sugar Hill Gang and Kool Mo Dee . Also you were right... Tom didn't pick sides, until Trump got shot. Nuthin but ❤️
This was a good one! This was off Adam and Messus recent album "Pale Horse" it's a Banger. Another great one off the Album is "Mirrors" with Adam, Messus and Featuring Tom Macdonald
I have too lol it’ll be what closes the gap for me I gotta hear it from him lol some of these comments don’t help homies case at all! 😂😂 but again no matter what he says my stance is the same I’ll just nod my head n be like bet (also never thought he was racist) people keep going there with me lol makes me feel like people didn’t listen or understand what I said
@unclebito61715 Stevie Knight was offended too but it did exactly what it was supposed to do!! Get people talking about race in a constructive way!! It's worth a watch!!
6:22 😂😂😂 Love this. Adam has that old east coast flow and vibe., ❤ Im glad I saw this reaction right after the other one. Check out: PALE HORSE, MIRRORS, GLASS HOUSE, LOST MY MIND (those are all Adam and Mesus, toms on one) Mesus is also a great rapper, I personally think he's underrated, he grew up with Adam and they both battle rapped in Chicago growing up.
Hahaha the I’m bout to look like a sucka 😂😂😂 yeah I came around to Adam low key I’m just stuck on that part but ima listen to him n Stevie knight so I can “get over it” I appreciate you seeing the light n humor in my assessment. I get it but glad you not like some of the comments lol mad at me for standing on what I stand on.. dudes in here callin me racist is a wild play considering what I’m saying 😂😂😂
@@unclebito61715 that's wild that people really feel they can tell someone else how they should feel about it (especially if they aren't black). Even if you chose not to play Adam on your channel I would have respected that, its your channel.. Yes that was Bubba. Dusty is doing the hook. Mesus (pronounced Jesus with an M) and Adam been friends 20 years. Dusty and Bubba dropped an album. Adam and Mesus recently did as well. I second watching Adam's interview with Stevie Knight
My breakdown of the Racism song - he mentions four types of peoples that he grew up around Note - there’s no city type of peoples mentioned in it as that’s not what he grew up around / he mentions trash white people and good country white people and he mentions trash black people and good country black people or good black people in the more dangerous parts of the suburbs - and he says that no matter how we see eachother as group against group that the elites and the government pit us against eachother and we’re all still dying on the streets together no matter the hate or love we all feel for eachother and how we need to do something to stop it all and come together as a whole against the government - that is the entirety of who Adam is - anti establishment and anti government I’ve heard that song over fifty times now and have picked up everything and watched tonnes of reactions to it and gotten many peoples perspectives of it aswell
Big respects to ya 🫡 but I got mirrors coming I liked the song. Currently listening to the man speak on what has some people flustered.. a lot of people think that I think or thought his was racist cuz I said “if he is” after stating to the audience “if he’s on that I don’t wanna hear it” big word IF so yeah comprehension is off here but I always give things a chance n look for understanding ✊🏾 coo that you get it
Great reaction, Adam has a couple other songs w Bubba Sparks over the last couple yrs ...can't name them off hand. But definitely check out Shooks Ones remix by Adam....but Adams from Chicago, Racism video is filmed in Chicago....I take from the video as he's point out the stereotypes of the way people r viewed by others....
Respectfully white boys grow up around the way everyday I know quite a few. Rappers n regular folks n THEY know it ain’t coo even if they get or got the “ok” that the comments keep referring too.. again I don’t think homie is racist I just don’t like it n prefer to hear it.
Dusty (the one singing the hook) raps also. There is nothing wrong with being open minded hon. I'm a 47 year old white woman. I'm petite and punk rock/metal in my bones but I'm growing also. Hello 👋
The only other song I know of from Adam where he uses the N word is "Rap Sh@$". Its such a fire song though, and I don't think its meant to be derogatory. Well worth listening and coming to your own judgement. As for "Racism", the message I came away with is that there's offensive words used to describe both blacks and whites, but what we have to understand is that there's good and bad in both races. Theres White folks and theres white trash. I took it as a song telling us not to use terms such as the N word or white trash to blanket an entire race. Theres good and bad in all races and we can't just use blanket terms like that to classify a whole race.
I recommend Race War. Adam is far from racist. He grew up in Chicago in the hood rapping in battles and stuff… he has an interview with Stevie Knight about the N word in that song you listened to. I recommend watching that interview so you can hear it directly from Adam ❤ Thanks for keeping an open mind about things. #HOG
Adam and Mesus grew up in chi town they had to prove their selfs in cyphers in the hood he’s in his 40’s so he grew up rapping in the hoods Dusty Leigh did the hook Mesus and Adam grew up together
Adam, he both said it clearly and direct, the N word on that song to stir emotion, catch attention and to generate a conversation around racism. He went into detail about the other derogatory stereotypes and slurs for white people too in that song with the "hillbilly" and Cracka as he wanted to bring attention the many folds of racism. Also Adam did get negative feedback from people for using the N word and he himself has come out and said that he would do it differently if he could go back as he wasn't aiming to upset or be derogatory towards Black people his aim was to stir attention and conversation. Thank you and take care.
Appreciate that and appreciate you I am aware as hell I did react to it same time I did this I did em back to back to back. As I’m sure he expressed that same result could’ve happened without using the n word but like he said he wanted to do that in that way n it’s not racist just poor judgement to start a convo.. for hip hop n issues imo but growth is key and I gotta peep him talk about it
@@unclebito61715 if you look up an interview Adam did with Stevie Knight a Black reactor who does music and various other reactions he reacted to "Racism" like yourself and Stevie also had issue with the use of the N word in the song and Adam saw Stevies reaction to it and Adam reached out to Stevie to do an interview and talk about the song and amongst other things. He goes into detail about it with Stevie Knight.
The message I take from Adams song "Racism" is basically that we shouldnt be painting people into stereotypical boxes because even if we embody our stereotypes sometimes, there is more to us than that. I havent heard him use the "n" word in any other songs of his, I havent been through his whole catalog yet but I've heard quite a bit of his music and Ive seen a couple interviews and I thinknit was a one off. I honestly dont know the back story on that song but just from what Ive seen of Adam, Im sure there was probably a reason he went that direction with it.
The fact you were totally turned off with Adam after the first song but was still man enough to give him some more chances is much credit to you 💪🏼nice reaction man. If you want checkout "John Wayne “ by Adam and brodnax. Pretty 🔥song
🫡🫡✊🏾✊🏾✊🏿✊🏿 appreciate that yeah n I mean at the end of the day he sounds like he can put together a good tune. I’m grown n can tuck my feeling away a lil bit haha don’t gotta agree with all things. Think the final step is I have to hear his reason n take on it
Lol it's always that one song that throws people off with Adam and then they go through his catalog and realize he's completely different from that one track. Tom and Dax get it too😂 #HOGFAM
Check out Adam’s song with Tom called Race War - no N word in that - all his songs he made with Tom over their two albums they made together are amazing - and they made several videos together from a few songs on each of those two albums
So many people recommend Acals Racism for the shock value. Obviously that turned your opinion sour on him, check out a few more songs before shutting him down.
I sub back when you did your first Ren reaction loved your reactions since. Love Ren, Tom, Adam, Dax, Struggle and Mesus. Something about independent artists mad respect. But if you are a 90's hip hop Adam is it, his flow and style is 90's. Check out Shook Ones by Adam he pays homage to several OG artists and makes it clear its that Mobb Deep shit if you know you know. Glass House Adam, Mesus, Struggle ft. Caitlynne Curtis is fire. I could go on and on all of the above have a great catalog. I'm going to still ride with you stay true to you.
I appreciate that n appreciate you it what I try to do grow n understand shit from another level n angle 🫡✊🏾 I gave em one more song n ima chill gain a sense from the audience n spin the block again love the engagement from most of ya
Race war for what you just asked race war, is the biggest one.He speaks something on and what you're asking at the end here, I said it in the comments on the other one I just got over here so im a little late
Welp gonna have to peep those now I want understanding! N I peep the skill I just wanna know his angel on that. It doesn’t bother me vs id rather not have a rapper use his pen in that manner knowing how that word can shift things for the audience.
I’ll save it for later lol ima give that topic a rest cuz some of these comments are draining lmfao. If I do him again I’m staying away from “race” stuff goes back to it ain’t the energy we promote or want here too much.. this a run off moment in time. Happens when I discover new things I guess 😂 but yeah AC coming but I’m let these breathe most yall are coo but DAMN a lot of people really don’t listen 😂😂 it’s the I’m clearly saying he’s not racist n we still in here defending that he isn’t for me atm. The rest of fine but damn! did we listen or some people just upset that I don’t like something their guy said 😂 ps appreciate you
Appreciate you n Word that’s real but it does impact things BuT we work through em just giving it a break.. last three vids putting off a brother energy just a tad but I like his craft still I’ll stand on that just like I stand on the other stance
Respect for keeping it real and giving Acal a chance. That song is the worst starting point for him. Wish people would stop recommending that as a first reaction. I can get what he was trying to do but it’s not the clearest message and just starts you off on the wrong foot.
Yup love millyz been a fan since 06 I can ASSURE you he doesn’t say it in his raps and he grew up round the way n been around black people etc.. so that’s part of the reason why im not here for the “n word” narrative. Doesn’t justify it imo but that’s also people who may not be from the way who use that as a reasoning.. ask millyz does he say it lol ruclips.net/p/PL8HnsYDyYky5i1yJ4fMg__qkst5LU8PUf&si=NDgUrJHU3YU4qRBF
White guy opnion...that song shows there's good and bad both black n white yet many just assume most are the same...and the serious shock value probably had a factor....peace
ACal was giving perspectives on how people are stereotyped by each other and other races.. The song is about STEREOTYPING and his stance on how he can't stand it and it needs to stop!
We shall see I did a bonus one n I posed a question to the audience. Stay tuned.. I never said he was racist or thought he was either.. I just don’t bang with him using the n word in his raps
#HOG in the house. I think the issue is you started of with the worst track possible when it comes to Adam. He even admits that when he first started talking and rapping with Tom, he saw Tom challenge him in a way he had not been challenged before, both in using his raps but also as an individual. Tom don't hang with people of questionable character. So listen to more. You will find out that song was a one off.
Race war with him and Tom Macdonald might give you a different perspective on him. Racism not my favorite song from him but I got what he was trying to say. I heard Stevie Knight interviewed him about it. If you wanna hear his reasoning behind it.
I hope you keep listening to ACAL. That is the only song he has that he says the N word. I think the Racism song is a message song about all the stereotyping. He is a point blank person about his beliefs and I respect that. He's a man's man...which I admire. Keep playing his stuff, just not that song... 😁
If you're not going to listen to Adam then you lost my subscription. Being racist like that will get you nowhere with this group of people. Adam is a great man and he makes great music and if you don't understand it that's a you problem not a our problem. You don't want to listen to Adam I don't want to subscribe and listen to you
Lmfao “racist” after I said I don’t like that he used the word “n” and like I said yall know what to do fam. Seems to be a few of yall types in the comments.. saying im racist or saying I said he racist. If the fan base is like you n just says things to say it.. I don’t NEED those types subbing anyway. “Being racist like that” is hilarious after ya mans said “n” to prove a point n start a convo is wild n special from you. But end of the day you know what to do if you bothered but don’t make things up lol
6:23 also finish the damn video instead of getting upset cuz I don’t wanna hear a white man saying n on his shit lmfao. But again i don’t need the people who feeling like how you feeling with out finishing the video too 😂😂 me n racist is wild too

I honestly dont know the back story on that song but just from what Ive seen of Adam, Im sure there was probably a reason he went that direction with it.
yeah that was Bubba the last man is Mesus
Tom and Adam have a song called "Race War". You should check it out for Adam's opinion on black people.
Catch you on the next one bro.
I recommend race war by Adam and Tom. I think it will help understand Adam’s mindset a bit better
Race war for what you just asked race war, is the biggest one.He speaks something on and what you're asking at the end here, I said it in the comments on the other one I just got over here so im a little late
Welp gonna have to peep those now I want understanding! N I peep the skill I just wanna know his angel on that. It doesn’t bother me vs id rather not have a rapper use his pen in that manner knowing how that word can shift things for the audience.
aHHH THIS SHOULD BE GOOD!!!
React to Tom’s song Chrome.
Boom bap vibe with Tom, Adam, and Nova
There's an interview with stevie knight and adam about the racism song. Maybe worth a watch
Already ready to watch hour n a half huh!
Check out White rapper and starter cap/the end by Adam Calhoun
You should react to Tom and Adam's song Race War. It's a powerful message!
The rest of fine but damn! did we listen or some people just upset that I don’t like something their guy said 😂 ps appreciate you
You're cool, first impressions are not always correct, Adam and Tom didn't rock with each other until they actually spoke and had it out of the phone.
Appreciate you n Word that’s real but it does impact things BuT we work through em just giving it a break.. last three vids putting off a brother energy just a tad but I like his craft still I’ll stand on that just like I stand on the other stance
another good song by tom macdonald is danger with nova Rockfeller its one of their newer ones i believe i might be wrong
Respect for keeping it real and giving Acal a chance. That song is the worst starting point for him. Wish people would stop recommending that as a first reaction. I can get what he was trying to do but it’s not the clearest message and just starts you off on the wrong foot.
Have you heard Adam and Bubba - whoop ass? Omg sooooooooo fn good bruh! Fire reaction ❤
Gonna have to peep it n appreciate you
I see all the Boston gear. Are you a Millyz fan?
Yup love millyz been a fan since 06
I can ASSURE you he doesn’t say it in his raps and he grew up round the way n been around black people etc.. so that’s part of the reason why im not here for the “n word” narrative. Doesn’t justify it imo but that’s also people who may not be from the way who use that as a reasoning.. ask millyz does he say it lol

My bad I just ranted too but I love millyz for sure that’s my dude
@@unclebito61715 I got to see him live in Dallas a few months ago with Dax and Joyner. He deserves so much more shine.
Check out Shook Ones!!
White guy opnion...that song shows there's good and bad both black n white yet many just assume most are the same...and the serious shock value probably had a factor....peace
🫡💙
Try if I was black by Tom
ACal was giving perspectives on how people are stereotyped by each other and other races.. The song is about STEREOTYPING and his stance on how he can't stand it and it needs to stop!
ADAM IS WORTH THE RABBITHOLE!!!!!! Don’t listen to the noise. He dope and a solid(NON-RACIST) dude! Form your own opinion.❤
We shall see I did a bonus one n I posed a question to the audience. Stay tuned.. I never said he was racist or thought he was either.. I just don’t bang with him using the n word in his raps
Checkout Upchurch you’ll know right away your time spent in the rabbit hole will be worth it
Tom and Adam Race War.
If you do Race War listen close to Tom’s first line. It throws a lot of people off and some don’t get it
I hope you keep listening to ACAL.
