I can't believe it, I fell asleep waiting for your premiere. It's not too surprising because I have a hard time sleeping at night. This is my very favorite mixed media piece of yours... that is saying a lot! You have created so many awesome pieces! I love the Protea flower. I just did one recently and called it "Who's the King Protea". It's a bit of a spoof because I painted three different versions of the Protea. There is something so interesting about the rugged yet delicate details of this flower. Your mixed media painting of the Protea is simply amazing! I love all the texture and how it makes the flower practical jump off the canvas. But, the soft colors, rich with shadows, really pull me in! I see a Protea jumping to the top of my list of things I want to create. I'm excited because I've never used modeling paste for this flower. I'm thinking of a photo I saw of a sunbird perched on a Protea. I could kill two birds with one stone😋. That really is a violent saying, isn't it? 😕 But, I'm sure you get my drift.
