It's not the worst. when I was in my old home I really wanted a dog but I couldn't have one because I had a cat who hated other animals. My parents never got me one and I got alot of plush dogs. I waited and now 2 years later I can finally get one on my birthday in 18th march :) Be grateful for what you have and maybe something will come to you ;)

relatable cuz my parents have done that with me that time I always wanted a parrot so my mother got me a toy parrot I was so mad that the next day I broke it. since my mom is jobless, (she's a housewife) she doesn't get any money from my dad but my mum's old house is rented so she rent money. I felt so very very much sad after I broke the toy and to date I still feel sad and regret it.😞
I thought that it was set up to look like a real dog was in there, and it then says " yeah, you're still not getting a dog, Merry christmas 😃"
