my family keeps sharing crochet cat couches cause they know i love my cat and they know i love crochet. i know my cat well enough to know not to put HOURS of work into it cause she simply won’t use it. she has her cardboard box and that’s all she needs 🛌

IF you ever feel inclined... You could raise the back cushion, attach it to the arms and use felt to secure it to the bottom cushion. You can also use felt to cover the parts where the foam is showing. Just a thought.

This is giving me flashbacks to when Jenna Marbles turned her under-the-stairs room into a dog-sized living room. It looks so cute and I’m so glad she likes it! A bit after I first started crocheting, I used your waffle bag pattern to make a cat bed for my friend’s senior cat (her name is Butter - it had to be done) and she still loves it 💕 here’s to all of us spending countless hours making things for our animals 🥂

About the colours cats can see: They are blind to red. They see blue and green very well. My cat is obsessed with me wearing teal and obsessed with my teal carpet... seems logical

I started a cat couch very early this year and I thought it would be a great idea to color change every row/every other row for the whole thing. It has been sitting in a bag, in a box, for the past 5.5 months 🥲

maybe instead of peg legs you can maybe find doorknobs? i think like round and flatish doorknobs could be sanded down on the round side to sit flat. then you could heavy duty velcro the back flat side easily :)

One recommendation when changing colors: pick up the next color as the final loop to finish the double crochet (or whatever stitch your pattern needs). That gets rid of that little random bit of the previous color on top of the new color. Hope that makes sense.
