- Just days ago, I drove off the dealership lot in a brand new 2025 Honda Pilot Trailsport, excited and pleased with my purchase. However, my excitement quickly turned to frustration and disbelief. Within 36 hours of ownership, my vehicle stalled as I was reversing into a parking spot. But that was just the beginning. As I drove along the Bruckner Expressway heading towards New Rochelle, NY, my car began to malfunction dramatically, presenting issues ranging from emissions system failures to transmission glitches, and an alarming loss of power.

Hello, I recently purchased a 2025 Pilot and I'm not even at 400 miles and it has several issues already. Has a factory defect in door panel, Headliner and windshield. Now has issues with the Bluetooth, radio, wipers and a airbag light at 144 miles and now it has an issue where it intermittently stumbles on take off. The dealership attempted a repair on the door panel and headliner and actually made them worse. So now after all that they don't even want to fix what they damaged. Good luck and hopefully everything works out.
What was the issue with the door panel? I just purchased a 2025 pilot and hear a slight rattle in the driver door. Haven’t had any other issues… I’m hoping it stays that way.

It had a hole in the leather from the factory. Then the dealership installed a new one that literally pulls away the from the door when you pull the door closed.

I purchased a new 2024 honda crv sport l hybrid 3 months ago. 6k miles already and already took it back to the dealer because it was having an emission problem, same what it says in your dash, they diagnose and found the problem. They had to replace the fuel injector and fix the blind spot system. It was under warranty so I didn't have to pay anything plus they give me rental car for 3 days while waiting coz I need a commute to work. But I'm thinking to upgrade to Pilot Trailsport and watching your video and reading comments makes me not to get it. It's just sucks buying a new car so we don't get headache for having car issues and for kids safety going out. But then shit happens, sorry that happens to you thank goodness kids are not with you. I suggest call lemon lawyer or ask for advise from people
Bought a 2025 Honda pilot exl. No problems as of now 400 miles. Sounds like they dodnt add or add enough transmission fluid from the factory??? Or they forgot something? When i test drove the 1st honda pilot 2025 with 4 miles . We drove around and sat in the lot for 15 minutes the A/C blew hot air!!!!! Like they forgot to add freon??? So i test drove another vehicle and left the other one alone!

It happens even with Toyotas. There is no vehicle today that does not have issues. I have a 2025 Pilot and it has been great. Sure, it may have issues, but so might any other vehicle that I could have bought. I traded in a Hyundai so I'm feeling I'll be much better in the long run. Best to you in your search.
Thank you for sharing. Honda is a reputable company. I’m sure they will replace the transmission and you will be back on the road. It may be good that you leased the car. You can just turn it in at the end of the lease. Hopefully you will have the use of a loaner until your car is repaired.

I love Honda! Actually my wife just got a Pilot 2025. But you are right! You must get a new unit right away. Honda can use that repaired unit as Test Drive unit. Ask them to give you a new unit or full money back!!
my friend had very similar issues within 800km of driving the car up here in Canada ... very odd for Honda's to be failing like this

Not odd at all. The days of reliable Hondas and Toyotas are gone. Should of kept the old cars while you still can and take care of it

Planning to purchase trail sport tomorrow, but really have doubts if I should go with Acura MDX instead or not, concerned about the long term reliability?!
Most dealerships give you a 30-90 day return timeframe. I would just return it and tell them you are not happy! If they won’t give you a new one, return it to dealer and buy another one, at a different dealership. Your credit report for lease is good for 30 days with Honda. That’s what I was told today anyway.
That is what I did, but it took two months for it to happen
Make the dealer buy back and give you another one. Not good service there. I have a good 24 elite model. But I would be mad if that happened. Hope Honda corporate sees this and makes sure the dealer does right by you. Things can go wrong but the dealer needs to make things right if issues occur
This is what happens when Hondas are built by Americans, Inaddition to also forcing manufacturers to be more complex and parts worldwide being more expensive, therefore quality is cut somewhere.
No kidding bro. I bought my Trailsport in Canada. My dealer said the cars in America have had lots of bugs and some recalls. Told me not to worry that mine was built in Canada. Haven't had anything g so far at 6k miles. And a road trip. Thank you Lord.
