Thank you so much for these Cutie simple nesting baskets. I have made the small and medium in T-shirt yarm. They came out so Nicely! Thank you for your easy lessons! Great Teacher! Blessings, Nerry Jimenez
i'm doing some 'pratice' ones with scrap yarn, though it's not bulky so I just went downa few sizes in my crochet hook (went by what package suggested). And OMG these are ADORABLE! Great Christmas gifts... now I have to decide if I crochet a handbag OR a set of baskets for my BFF lol. Decisions decisions. LOVE your videos thanks so much hun!!!
You could use the Bernat Home Decor yarn right. If you made your Coastal Coasters and Placemats just think of what a cute set you will have...and that is what I am going to do...love your videos....
I was also wondering where do you buy this yarn?!! If I cannot find this yarn, what other name brand would you recommend that is like this and this size for this project?!! Thank you!
This yarn is no longer available. I attempted to use Yarn Bee Cozy Occasion thinking it would be similar. However, it's not working. I don't know if it is the yarn or if I'm doing something wrong, but my circle is not flat. It's as if the the outer edge is too tight and the sides are going up too soon.
I love these little nesting baskets but I am confused about one thing: Which is the right (or outside) side and which is the wrong (or inside) side? Please tell me if the starting or center tail is supposed to be outside the basket or inside the basket before it is woven in. It's easy to get turned around and start crocheting in the opposite direction, especially when changing color, as I think I did, perhaps more than once. Thanks!!
Hello I’m Holly and I have a question for you. For the third round when you do 1 hdc, then 2 hdc ..... you ended that round with 1 hdc. Shouldn’t it have been 2 hdc. Like making the top of a beanie or am I incorrect?!? Just curious, because I’m familiar with this pattern and wanted to know the difference. Love this video! Going to make this as a gift for someone.
Holly Phillips, yes i thought the same, when you start with 6 stitches in the first circle you have to increase every round by 6, so after the 5th round there should be 5x6 = 30 stitches, she has 28 so thats not corect, and that is because she counts in the first round the 2 chain as a stitch and later she doesn,t. Do it as you used to do this and it will be correct. First round 6 Second round 2 in each stich is 12 Thirth round 1 single in the first stitch and then 2 in the second stitch repeat this, you will have 18 stitches, the two chain counts as the first stitch so you start right after that with 2 in one! Fourth round 2 x 1 single stitch in the first two and then 2 stitches in the next, repeat, this wil make 4 x 6 = 24, also here the 2chain counts as the first half double crochet. Fifth round 3x1 singel stitch in the first three stitches then 2 in the 4th stitch repeat, this makes 5x6=30 also here count the first 2 chain as the first half double crochet so in fact you first 3x1 will 2x1.
Anyone have the written pattern with the total amount of stitches in each round? My basket looks kind of weird and I’m not sure if I have the right count.
Thank you Jennifer! I love these baskets! Thank you for all your tutorials, you are a great teacher & person 😍
Thank you!!
Ruth Wodarcyk agree!

This yarn had been discontinued, do you have any recommendations for additional yarns to use for this pattern?

hey, what is this type of yarn called, not in this particular brand ☺

Is this a t-shirt type yarn being used?
It is very similar...t shirt yarn would work very well too!
Can you use a different type of yarn or does it have to be that kind
No, any bulky yarn would work well! Perhaps try a swatch first to see if you like how it works up. :)

Janet Weeks The starting tail is the inside of the basket.
Thank you!!
