The maturity level of this neighbor is only going to get worse. He will absolutely try to use deadly force against this man.
You saw it in the video, they are trying to goad him into a situation where they think they'll be able to justify gunning him down. They never will precisely because this guy has tons of documentation against them including police reports and previous charges.

I had a neighbor like that.
I'm a single woman living out in the country on a farm. I had a crazy neighbor, and his son, that lived about a quarter-mile from me. Our road is on a dead end as well, but HE had to drive past MY farm.
It started with his 5 dogs coming on my property and killing my chickens.
My farm is completely fenced with an electric gate at my driveway. My whole property is pole fenced with a 4x4 inch hog wire. My chickens were free-range chickens, so they stayed in my pasture during the day, and would roost in my barn, or a tree at night.
His dogs would dig under my fencing. I'd come home from work and find 10 dead chickens in my pasture.
I live out in the wild with cougars and coyotes, etc. And only one time, has a coyote came into my pasture, and taken a chicken. I don't mind that, because they EAT the chickens and it was springtime, so there were probably pups involved. However, when dogs kill chickens, they just leave them lying around dead...THAT pissed me off.
I called animal control, numerous times and was told because my chickens weren't in a "coop", they weren't considered "livestock," and there was nothing they could do. I couldn't even take pictures, because I was at work or sleeping when the attacks were committed.
There were NO guns involved, but the son drove a jacked-up pickup and had two giant Confederate flags blowing from each side of his pickup cab. When he would drive by my house, he would rev up his engine, spinning his tires, all along my property line...rinse and repeat, every damn day or night. It was CONSTANT harassment. And, just about every day, we had some vile laden, screaming matches you wouldn't believe.
I own guns and keep them handy. I would take a few potshots at the dogs to scare them off, but they always returned.
However, these men were HUGE and MEAN. I NEVER backed down, (because a country gal wouldn't even think about that)...but, I was terrified of them.
I bought my farm in 1996, they bought theirs in 2005...the bank foreclosed on their farm in 2011...YAY. I still own my farm and they are GONE, but there was some bad, scary stuff going on.
Glad you had the patience to wait it out, and it was resolved without bloodshed.

The host said that dogs are considered properties and that you can't shoot a neighbor's dog that attacks your dog since the neighbor's dog was only posting a danger to your "property" when his dog attacks your dog and not a human being. If that is the case, then how come he can't shoot the neighbor's dog since it is only property anyway, right? Can't afford a dog the same rights as humans, right?

One of my friends shot his neighbor after a year of harrassment, threats and violence. The neighbor moved a month later after being arrested at the hospital, losing his job and his wife kicking him out. This stuff can definitely escalate. People are absolutely insane!!

My neighbor, broke into my house and stole about 10k worth of stuff. I had pictures of all the serial numbers, and items from my house on my computer (he didn't take the desktop) only to turn it all over to the sherriff and have them do ABSOLUTELY ZERO! I had photos of my items, in his house, and they did NOTHING. Absolutely worthless!

@@gunut4FMJ He was a friend for over 7 years, he helped me set up my 8 camera system from costco and knew the "dead spots" in the cameras. I owned a farm. The place he was staying at was a "scrap yard" on 7 acres in a rural area. The sherriff knows them well. The biggest charge I could have brought, was that he was in possession of stolen property, but how did he know it was stolen? So, basically a slap on the wrist and me swearing out a statement vs. a whole clan of thiefs... I moved my cameras to cover every inch of just the house and waited.... they never came back and I sold that property within the next 6 months. These people are still active, to this day.
The Sheriff, was great! It's the system that's warped.
Same thing happened to my mom and I when I was a kid. Neighbor's teenaged kids broke in 3 separate times and stole anything valuable. My mom had a huge collection of rings that my dad bought for her when he was in the military (Green Beret/ Vietnam era). He'd buy her a ring from every country he visited across Europe and Asia and she'd saved them all, along with her platinum wedding band set, to give to me when I got older. They took it all. I saw some of our stuff over there because I played with the youngest daughter, but police said their hands were tied.. can't remember exactly as I was only about 8yo when this all went down. Karma ended up getting them in the end though. Their landlord kicked them out on Christmas Eve that same year. Literally spent all day that day throwing all their stuff out on the curb. I'll never forget them freaking out when they got back that evening, digging through all their stuff on the front lawn with all the surrounding neighbors standing outside gossiping about it while they did.

I feel for this guy. We had neighbors not quite as bad. After nearly 30 years, they moved away. New neighbors are the nicest folks you could imagine.

Not exactly the same as the scenario your stating, but it's a concern. Of course I would _never_ do that. Few years ago a guy was at a coffee shop here in Oregon. His dog was attacked by another. He shot the attacking dog and didn’t face any charges.

The self defender sure maintains his own batman belt too! Had that zapper ready on the 1st one, had that handgun ready in the 2nd one, and then had that bear spray ready in the 3rd, does some swell defensive driving too, but I'd definitely have to solve this problem one way or another as this is going to be bad. I had a client who is a felon from over 15 years before and was constantly being taunted by 2 different neighbors who were friends because they were harassing his underage daughter over and over and she repeatedly made it clear she didn't appreciate it and wasn't interested, and this was an open carry state, and they would sit on the porch with a shotgun and even pointed a 30-30 at them one night from the porch and police refused to do anything even when he recorded some of it, he bought a black powder pre 1899 revolver and reload kit and was genuinely in fear after they threw full cans of beer at his daughters friend and thought she was the daughter, then left a paper with a missing person from a girl who was similar age who was violated and killed in the area years before. Basically they were threatening it or suggesting maybe they were responsible for it? They were finally preparing to move and the neighbors realized they were moving and wouldn't be able to torment them anymore so must have decided to act now or hold their peace and in this time she turned 18 and within a week of turning 18 she bought a wasr Romanian ak and her dad had already technically moved out and had address changed but they hid in the back of the house likely planning on breaking in when they felt the opportunity but were greeted by her dad with this very large 44 cal black powder revolver and then the commotion of that encounter alerted her who swung the door open with a bright flashlight attached the ak and they held them there until police came and discovered they had duct tape, a pack of zip ties, electrical tape, and both had guns, 1 of which was an illegally modified shotgun, the other was a little 25 caliber pistol! That managed to actually get them in some trouble although not what they should have because it turned out the one has a cop brother but not in the city.
It seems like he's filming with a phone. He needs to buy a simple dashcam and mount it in the car permanently.

All dogs are just property. K9 officers may have an "officer" designation but they are not considered humans in any legal sense. They are animals with a lot of training and resources poured into them. Most states will have specific laws that pertain to injurying or interfering with law enforcement animals. Most states will also have specific laws about general dogs and injury caused to dogs. What are you upset about?

John, I disagree with not running him over. When someone prevents you from moving it is kidnapping. That is why when someone commits armed robbery they generally get charged with kidnapping as well. If someone steps in front of my car and tells me I’m not going anywhere or don’t move and I’m in fear for my life, I’m running them over. What do you think?

This is in Oregon, looking at how grand juries are letting people who admit to felony arson go without charge, if he didn't reverse he would be in jail. I can attest to how crazy the people are up in the pacific northwest/inland northwest. This is COMMON up there. I went through something very similar, and I am a small female. Thank God I don't live there anymore.

Mr. John I am a big huge fan of less lethal. I carry a Chinese zap gun, witch is a powerful stun gun and oc 17 pepper spray. The stun gun is a unique style, and it is effective. Pepper spray is also effective in general. A tool that is needed at grappling range is a handheld stun gun. I dont carry a firearm. So I use whats legal in California. I can streetfight hard and am in good shape. NO PROBLEM. GREAT VIDEOS JOHN.

When I was in the Marines I had a buddy who at first glanced looked squirrelly and most of us were jacked . We actually did some training concerning being attacked by dogs and he told me he never understood why people get scared when dogs attack , we laughed at him . He showed us one night when walking to the base when this fucking badass Akita came out of nowhere and while the jacked fucks ran like bitches . Davis stood his ground and when the dog charged him he acted like he was going for the dogs throat , then with the other hand grabbed the back of the neck and put the dog down . Not dead wise but till the dog went from snarling to whimpering ..... then he got up let the dog go and screamed GO and the dog ran off . This story made think about it and that was one of the baddest things I ever saw ...... I feel bad for this guy and his dog ( also the assholes dog ) as I've had horrible neighbors as I'm assuming most people do . I respect the host here because he showed this video and he said is corresponding with the sender of it . Thats is pretty damn good 👍

@@robertclifton5795 my grandad always told me never run from a dog, he showed me an example once he walked onto a man front garden and a huge rotwiler sprinted towards him , my grandad just put his fist out and stood totally still and the dog kinda just ran into his fist, sniffed him and ran off like nothing ever happend. i dont think it works for all people but the chosen ones who somehow get out alive in crazy situations, always seem to have that spiritual luck at the right times and most importantly, connect with all animals, thats why some men can tame lions and others cant. your buddy might of had a small frame but he had a huge powerful heart, and the dog noticed it.

I couldn't even imagine having to deal with this on a daily basis. I would love to hear a follow up on this situation because I dont see that ending until one is dead or in jail for several years. Nope, prosecutor will say that your car is still a "safe spot" at that point. If the guy busts out your window and you somehow couldn't drive off, then it's no longer safe and you can shoot.
If you're in a vehicle and someone is threatening with a knife and you knowingly exit the vehicle and shoot that person you're going to jail for manslaughter possibly 2nd degree murder.
To be considered a defensive action it MUST meet ALL criteria: it must be in reaction to the "Immediate and otherwise unavoidable danger of death or grave bodily harm to the innocent."
By exiting the vehicle you chose to escalate the situation, you are now no longer innocent and you chose to enter into an otherwise avoidable scenario. This holds true even in states with castle doctrine and/or stand your ground laws.

I don't think he's terrified of the owner, dogs are smart, the dog was almost attacked by the other dog and probably sees the neighbor yelling at the owner alot and the dog probably associated that house, that dog and the neighbor, and the smells there as bad news and therefor gets skittish when it walks by there.
I really like the fact that he backed the car away, the neighbour was really threatening, good thing he noticed that in time.

Oregon resident here, this is information that will land you in jail. You CANNOT carry a firearm in Oregon in a car on your person if you do not have a concealed handgun license, it is considered concealing a firearm. Also, you CANNOT carry a long gun in your car at all in open view or readily accessible, it has to be stored in a locked container that is not readily accessible or as far away from an occupant in the car as possible. If you have a pistol and have a CHL, you can carry a pistol any way you want to in a car. This guy was actually committing unlawful carry of a firearm in the vehicle if he did not have a CHL because it was readily accessible.
For these criminals to still be walking the street they must be giving the judge and Police Department a cut of whatever they selling
