Ocean Globe Race 2023 Auckland Start

A beautiful summers day with a northerly breeze set the scene for a great Auckland sendoff. Excitement and smiles abound, as the crews said farewell to family and friends, then lined up for the participants photo. Then off into the harbour with time to check the right sail combinations. 2pm and they're off. Full power down the harbour to a turning mark off Orakei then a beat straight out the Rangitoto channel. Good luck to all yachts.
