    Your plate should have been closer to the outside corner of the tailgate, that means within 1" to the top of the gate and 1/2" from the side of the gate, the ladder curve bar would then clear the tailgate cable with having to disconnect anything......

    @chasecowler4307 5 лет назад +10

    If you shift the plate closer to the tailgate end you won't have to unhook it that bend is to go around the cable. And then it will clear without having to unhook it every time

    The curve on leg is to be out of the way when you lift it, you put plate a bit too low for it to clear the tail g ate wire

    Looks cumbersome. If I had designed this I would've opted to go with a center mounted, telescoping ladder (similar to a boat ladder) that extends far enough to use as a walk-up ramp.

    Not a big fan of the ladder. I have the AMP Bed step on mine for a couple years now and love it. Easy install, attached under bumper on corner and nothing attached to bed and don't have to remove ladder or cable to use. Works with levels/ lifts. If you like it, roll with it.

      It is not all it's cracked up to be. It is awkward, but very low profile. I use it, but a folding step ladder that will slide inside your bed when not in use is easier to climb

    Can't you follow instructions? Mine took less than 20 minutes to install (the correct way)... I hope you took it apart and re-installed the ladder the right way.

  • @HouTex_Mike

    Hey bro could you send me the link of what you used for the LED bulbs for the truck. Did you have to get relays or any special wiring to keep them from flickering

    • @EVERYTHANGDIESEL
      @EVERYTHANGDIESEL  5 лет назад +1

      So for the headlights since they are aftermarket they require H1 bulbs instead of the standard h13 bulbs these trucks use. So what I did was I wired the positive wire from the bulb to my headlight fuse in the engine bay. LED lights require 12v constant, these 3rd gens have a stupid canbus system that doesnt provide constant 12v to the stock headlights bulbs that why u get flickering when u use aftermarket led bulbs. By wiring the positive wire from the led bulb to a headlight fuse or any fuse slot activated by the headlight switch will give the led bulbs a constant 12v and you wont have flickering. I needed no relays no harness just some spare 16 gauge wire. I think I will be making a video explaining how to do that. I get a lot of questions how I did it
