Hello ma'am, I'm from Nagpur, loved your video. I recently got alloted HBCHRC,VIZAG - TATA MEMORIAL CENTRE in all India round 1. After all the research I really got an interest in this branch . And seeing this video reduced my anxiety to start my Jr ship and I am really excited to start my RAD ONC residency 😇
@@madhuri2512 Hi my rank was 15k , currently im at hbch varanasi, got upgarded in 2nd round, its a good branch , hbch vizag is newly established all the protocols and facilities will be as of TMC Mumbai but its new ur batch will be 2nd .
Hello mam, please make a video - 1. Describing how a typical day is in life of a Radiation oncologist - pg and as a consultant 2. Earning potential right from beginning - is it worth for ppl from weak financial background, managing funds and everything alone ?
Thank you for this very informative video, ma’am. After completing MD in radiation oncology from India are we eligible for FRCR ( oncology) Uk and can we practice there or any other countries?
Post-MD jobs are available, and many new centres are coming up nowadays. There is no saturation in this branch till now. Fellowships post-MD are optional, this is a complete degree in itself. So it is sufficient to practice
To be honest, MD Radiotherapy is the best branch for DM medical oncology as you are the only branch with knowledge of chemotherapy throughout your MD, which MD medicine or any other branch do not have any idea about. It is very very doable.
Hello, Do you want to restrict your preference to any particular state? Let me know If you want to know more, you can visit www.youtube.com/@RadOnc-y9b
Nuclear medicine is mainly a diagnostic branch dealing with PET scans and Iodine uptake scans, whereas Radiation oncology is a strictly treatment branch - treating cancer by radiation
Hello, Residency depends on what institute you get? How may co-JRs you have? What is the work culture of seniors? etc But minimum working hours is 12 hours/day
Hello ma'am, it was a really informative video. Can you also make a video for choice filling for MD/DNB Radiotherapy? Is it a wise choice to chose dnb from rajiv gandhi delhi over RML/SMS? And is DM oncology done by many rad oncologist or we are fine just after MD? Thank you so much once again ma'am 🙏🏻
Hello, 1. MD choice filling opinion is very individualised based on their own preferences, so I think there is no blanket guideline as such. Choose the centre near you which has a LINAC or higher machine. 2. Yes RGCI is a good centre to choose 3. Some people go for DM but it is not mandatory.
It totally depends on the hospital where you do MD/DNB, their patient flow and number of residents In DNB, this is mostly an OPD branch so no emergency or heavy nights as such, but in MD you will have to do everything
Mam , Is apollo hospital , hyderabad is good for radiation oncology? And is radiation oncology is saturated field in term of job? And after radiation oncology is mandatory to do DM oncology? And we doctors get exposed to radiation which gives alopecia etc...
Hello, 1. Apollo Hyderabad is a good centre for Radiation Oncology 2. This field is coming up in a big way and not saturated at all. 3. It is not mandatory to do DM post MD. The branch is complete in itself. 4. We do not get exposed to radiation while working in this field, it os completely safe
@@abookthattravels5185 I have been allotted in Apollo hospital , hyderabad as radiation oncology And I have no must doubt about this filed as it is literally new branch , as fresher if we gone there will we get adopt to this field mam ?

Could u please send me ur contact?I got a neet pg rank of 16,147 so I would like to join radiation oncology...I would like to know this branch in detail
Senior consultants are saying there is saturation in tier 1 cities Since there is disproportionate pg passout vs setups Also, centres do not recruit more than 2-3 radiation oncologists in a hospital. Is this true? How do you see the future in career prospects if I take md radiation oncology now
There is some saturation only in a few cities, but a lot of opportunity in most of the places. Recruiting of radiation oncologist is based on the patient load and no. of beds in the hospital. It is going to boom in the very near future. You should definitely go for it.
Radiation Onco is a beautiful branch...people usually select it as one of their middle or last choices , but obviously it will climb up in the future.
for sure yes!

Hi, yes you can join Radiation onco in Patna. All the very best.
