My hook reveal 7ts and my twin (Penn 6500SS and 8500SS made in USA reel). It's like im flying a plane and fishing at the same time. :) Just got my PA 12 360 and started enjoying Sydney Harbour.
Fish finder. It has opened up a whole new fishing experience on the kayak. I really like the Hobie PA...maybe some day. For now I’ll continue to customize what I have
So last year i bought a 2017 Hobie PA 12. I bought it used if a lot of accessories. Fish finder, Bixpy, beach wheels etc. for 3k i couldn’t pass it up. My first kayak is/was a old town predator. I love the old town but i wanted a pedal drive to get around further. I few things i noticed. For one, you still get tired even using your legs, but you do get around faster and you can stay put without picking up the paddle. The next thing i noticed was the old town is actually faster. The PA12 feels like a barge in the water. I went out with a guy who has a Hobie Outback and he was super fast in his kayak and he seemed more stable. I feel safe in the PA12 but not with the seat in the high position. All in all I’m happy with the PA12. If i was to do it again I’d get the Outback. Either way, I’m looking forward to the spring to get back out there. I’ve never seen a video with anyone criticizing the Hobies they have. Does anyone else experience what i have ? Maybe i haven’t been in enough kayaks to know better .IDK
You said that you didnt feel safe with the seat in a high position...I am thinking to purchase PA12, and this is important really feature for me. Can I ask what is your weight and height?
@@Henttari I’m 6ft 250lbs I’ve been out a lot more since i post this. I still kinda feel the same way, although i haven’t tried to raise the seat up again. There’s been a few times I’ve been out on the PA12 and my back started hurting me. I’ve been told by others that it happens when you’re out for hours at a time on this kayak or any other one. I still feel like the Outback is a faster kayak. You loss some space but, not much. If you’re not moving over a large area in your kayak, the PA12 is a good choice. For long distances i think an Outback would work better
@@Henttari No, i haven’t. The PA12 may be okay in the high position, i just wasn’t use to it when i first tried. Maybe if i tried it a few times i would’ve gotten use to it. Maybe it’s just my balance. The Old Town kayak i have , i ride it in the high position all the time. To me, it doesn’t feel tippy . Maybe if i got use to the feel of the PA12 in the high seat position it might not feel so tippy.
Yup, that’s a solid deal. But you should double check and see if anyone around you is selling a used one with the h rail syston it to be sure this is the best deal. Used is still a great option
What is your favorite kayak accessory?

Very good advices. I bought mine, and I am rigging it to fish in the ocean. 😊
Thanks for the review ,You've convinced me I need one .....
It’ll change your life!

Absolutely, fish finder changed everything!
Great vid. Had the same issue with landing but I did the bunjee mod with my wheels and it helped tremendously.
That mod is awesome!
Look up Louisiana custom kayaks for your kayak pad needs .

@@lloydboone7185 Thanks Lloyd, this was really important to me! Have you tried PA14, is it more safe in high seat position?

@@lloydboone7185 Yeah its always harder to get used to more "unstable" kayak than vice versa - thanks again!
I think you are rigging your PA for a week trip in the water. :) Nice video though
you can get those "Hobie" Electric connectors from amazon.
Good to know, thanks!
Use the bungee cord retractable set up for your wheels
I’ve seen some videos on that, thanks! I ended up adding the boomedox landing gear after this
Do you transport your hobie on the roof or truck
Truck bed
Favorite accessory. Beer cooler.
Me too!
Nice!
Thanks!
Sick Vid!!
Do you prefer the 14 now ?
Definitely
Where would you keep a fish once you catch it?
Stringer or cooler in the back if im going to eat it
How many times if ever have you flipped it ?
Never, and I have actually tried.
So I've got a chance to pick up a new 2019 PA12 Dune colored for 3000 ?
Sounds like a good deal! Ask if they’ll throw in some hobie accessories or give you any other discounts
They are taking 10% off of hobie accessories so the h-bar ,h/d cart ,cover and they'll install the fish finder do you think it's a good deal ?

@@aaanglers Been looking for a pa12 for months they don't seem to come up for sale as often as the 14s ?
@@Carl001M makes sense. Always worth a double check. but if that's the case I would go with that new deal you found!
How much the kayak india rupees
Haha I’m not gunna sell this and upgrade to the 360! Oh yes you are! 🇦🇺
lol, did you look at newer videos or guess. Had to happen lol.
How tall are u in that thing?
The seat has a high and low setting. The high setting has the seat about 18 inches off the boat. So pretty tall
No..how tall are you?
Lol, oh. I’m 6’1”
I've been paddling for about 8 years now. I'm saving for a 360. I've had enough of paddling.
It will change your life lol
@@aaanglers dude I can't wait.
