Proud to be jamaican I remember when i was 6 when i first played this video game on the ps2 surprised years later that rockstar showed love to Jamaican culture and music from the very beginning.🇯🇲🙏🏾✨
i mean as british born Jamaican descendent in the 2000s we didnt realise how good we had it tbh ahah but as rockstar is scottish company they also showed love to drum and bass in first game as those sound was big in britain and had smaller licensing i assume but have now added to there classic status to all us that bout the games making each song technically over a mill sold wonder if its counted in overall sales ?

Anyone who ever had or deals with depression including myself has sat in the car in GTA3 and listened to this station or the opera station all the way through to hear certain songs even now I'm listening to this station and I can say it does help especially on those rough days
I'm late to gta 3, but fortunately, I was just before the definitive edition came out... OG GTA 3 has a VIBE that isnt replicated, man, this shit must of been incredible back when it came out in the early 2000's. Such a great game, world, concept, game mechanics, and aesthetic overall. Art. Timeless classic.
MSX FM, Rise, K-jah, the only radios with no Commercial Though comms are funny sometimes, it's just so soothing driving about your business listening to three coolest stations - Most powerful, Most driving and Most chilling. I like some songs on Lips and Head radio, but their feel is so annoying, i find funny to listen to Double Cleff listening what these guys have to say, and listen to one or other talk on Chatterbox Flashback is cool as hell but i usually skip it, unless it was in the car by default, same goes to Game, there's some cool songs but i rarely switch to it
This radio station in GTA III is what got me into Scientist and Dub Reggae. Shortly after playing this game, I bought the album 'Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampire' on CD, and later bought every other Scientist album I saw when I came across them. I also still even use 'Dance of the Vampires' as my phone's message alert sound... that big beep at the beginning is perfect for it. Now almost 20 years later, GTA V is doing the same thing for me with Waylon Jennings and outlaw country music.
Lips 106 was my favorite when I first played this game. After that it was Game FM and Chatterbox I always kinda liked Kjah as well but now it’s definitely one of my favorites
I got absolutely addicted to this radio. I almost never listen to any other in GTA3, turn it on when I play San Andreas. And I listen to it IRL for hours. Such a unique atmosphere. It suited Liberty City so much. I have no idea how the developers of the original GTA3 were capable to create an image of a city you feel like you could live with with just palpable atmosphere, through sounds, music and weird associative imagery.
Ease off the pressure, slow down your wheels, and stay off the spank my brethren. At some point there was a business meeting where a decision was made to put this music into the game. It is probably one of the most significant meetings ever to have taken place. Absolutely bloody wonderful stuff.

I'm late to gta 3, but fortunately, I was just before the definitive edition came out... OG GTA 3 has a VIBE that isnt replicated, man, this shit must of been incredible back when it came out in the early 2000's. Such a great game, world, concept, game mechanics, and aesthetic overall. Art. Timeless classic.

Though comms are funny sometimes, it's just so soothing driving about your business listening to three coolest stations - Most powerful, Most driving and Most chilling.
I like some songs on Lips and Head radio, but their feel is so annoying, i find funny to listen to Double Cleff listening what these guys have to say, and listen to one or other talk on Chatterbox
Flashback is cool as hell but i usually skip it, unless it was in the car by default, same goes to Game, there's some cool songs but i rarely switch to it

This radio station in GTA III is what got me into Scientist and Dub Reggae. Shortly after playing this game, I bought the album 'Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampire' on CD, and later bought every other Scientist album I saw when I came across them. I also still even use 'Dance of the Vampires' as my phone's message alert sound... that big beep at the beginning is perfect for it.
Now almost 20 years later, GTA V is doing the same thing for me with Waylon Jennings and outlaw country music.

I got absolutely addicted to this radio. I almost never listen to any other in GTA3, turn it on when I play San Andreas. And I listen to it IRL for hours. Such a unique atmosphere. It suited Liberty City so much. I have no idea how the developers of the original GTA3 were capable to create an image of a city you feel like you could live with with just palpable atmosphere, through sounds, music and weird associative imagery.
K-Jah is the best radio station in any of the GTA games.

I use to vibe out to this station back when GTA 3 released. I bought a PS2 in 2018 and made sure to get a copy of GTA 3. I caught myself just chilling and vibing to this station like old times. It was an amazing feeling feeled with nostalgia of me, my brother, and our friend Jackson chilling in front of his living room playing GTA 3 on his PS2.
