The live، covers the concept of what I call “tricky people”, where it's not just about teaching children to never trust strangers - especially since sexual harassment can also come within the family, family friends and close circles.
I talk about how to teach children to trust their instincts, to know when to say no, and how to create a comfortable, safe environment at home where kids don’t feel afraid to speak up.
I also talk about the way we speak to boys in particular, and how to inform them about personal space, kindness, and respect girls’ boundaries.
We all want to protect our kids from the dangers in this world.
But we still struggle to find the balance to give them the tools to protect themselves without making them live in fear.
How can we do that? How can we help our kids trust their gut feeling? How to help them say no! And how can we feel that they can always come to us?
