Port's defeiciency is in it's contested loose ball AND ball use deep in defence. Mckenzie and Williams' skills are severely missed in that specific area.

Port’s has deficiencies in every position. Midfield is poor during contested possessions. Defence cannot win any ground balls and Forward can’t hit the side of a barn. When the game isn’t on Port’s terms they routinely capitulate. They will continue to be humbled against strong opposition.

He is implying his players aren’t good enough to contend with the best which is inarguable as they routinely fail against strong oppositions. What is the causation of their continual failure? He needs to be accountable for his failings as a coach.

Good coaches extract extra ten fifteen percent from every player and make ordinary players good players. Port are regressing under his watch and are one of those genuine mid table sides.

There were some interesting Power stats here on youtube, going back years to the all the losing finals, and big games against top sides, and it comes down to contested possessions. The top sides are harder and more skilfull around the contested ball. Exactly what we saw against Collingwood. 😊🎉🎉

Port have played consistently poor this year. They haven’t beaten anyone noteworthy and for periods within games have struggled to take advantage of momentum against bottom 4 standard teams. Port’s performance against Collingwood epitomises their weaknesses and until they address their shortcomings they will continue to be a team that doesn’t achieve anything meaningful.

@@pussyjefferson Hmm I didn’t make any assertion that my insight was invaluable. I was merely being facetious concerning your pointless comment. It isn’t too difficult to determine Port’s shortcomings. They don’t possess a strong leader. Their mental fragility is ever-present against strong opposition. They aren’t willing to play strong contested football when the game isn’t on their terms. They struggle to win any groundballs in their defensive 50. Midfield is weak on the inside. They cannot hit the side of a barn when kicking for goal. Finally the crux of the issue, their coaches have implemented a one-dimensional gameplan that is easy to beat, especially when opposition pressure the midfield.
