Don't worry about having an automatic pump shotgun. It's just slam-fire. After all, the LOK-1 gets to be a fully automatic burst fire weapon anyways.
[Slam-Fire Has Been Added To The Database]
I'll try to remember this if it comes up again!
*Looks at KF3 expectantly*
Season 5 is pretty cool. Core stones are either really easy or really hard. Deep scan is beautiful. In my professional opinion, very good season
Thank you medic from tf2
zips make them trivial
Babe wake up, the purely DRG channel, ExplosiveT uploaded another DRG video, which is the only content that he does!
Hehe, yah. Only DRG content exclusively and nothing else...
13:36 Bro, that’s literally just slamfire.
In many firearms, there is a piece of metal in the trigger assembly called a disconnector, which decouples the trigger from the hammer until it’s released and pulled again, preventing the gun from going full-auto.
Some guns - usually fully-automatic ones such as assault rifles and machine guns - either don’t have disconnectors or had a fire selector that can disable it. Certain old pump-action shotguns also lacked disconnectors, meaning that the if you shove the pump forward with your finger on the trigger, the gun would fire again. This is known as slamfire.
That sounds terrifying to handle. I'm imagining a beautiful dance of racking and firing, but the kick plus the force of moving the pump would be awful for aiming.
@@ExplosiveT-5 It absolutely impacts your accuracy, but shotguns aren’t really precision weapons anyway, and sometimes you just need to get a bunch of lead downrange as fast as possible.
Also, videogames frequently overexaggerate the amount of recoil firearms have. There’s still some, but unless you’re using a high-caliber handgun (such as a a Desert Eagle or S&W .500 Magnum) or a fully automatic weapon without a bipod, it’s not too hard to control with a little training. Even those exceptions can be controlled with enough strength and training; it just takes a while. I’d recommend looking up some videos of people slamfiring old shotguns to get an idea of how controllable it is (that and it just looks damn stylish).
Also also, FUN FACT: Germany actually tried to get shotguns declared a war crime during WW1 because American soldiers, armed with the slamfire-capable Winchester Model 1897 shotgun, were absolutely devastating German trenches with it. Given Germany’s prolific use of chlorine gas in that war, they were understandably laughed out of the room.
@@Epicmonk117 These are lovely factoids for me to remember! (KF3 you better have this!)
I looked into someone slam firing and the guy was struggling despite being extremely well built, so law of averages says it would murder your accuracy. Shotguns may be for CQC, but you can only aim so far in the wrong zipcode.
I think it would be a lovely feature to see in a horde shooter which is why I call out KF3. Slam Firing a mob of Zeds seems very fitting for the game and the desperate moments it can create.
@@ExplosiveT-5 Unfortunately, slamfire is not very common on shotguns anymore, both IRL and in video games. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is GTTOD, which had at least one shotgun that can slamfire.
Dude the speed at which your editing skills have advanced is amazing
Thank you! Hopefully I keep increasing my speed of editing as I learn more!
@@ExplosiveT-5 in time and practice, all things!
I've really liked the deep scan missions, you can do things faster if you spread out but it can be risky, and the drillivator is a really fun climactic fight
I agree. I imagine it's a nice mission to quickly do things, but locating the resonance stones can be quite the hassle.
With rotary overdrive it's just The Matrix Revolutions "Blaze of Glory" clip
literally a laser made out of metal
it's so OP with aggressive venting
you can explode, cool, explode, cool, and just repeat for absolutely immense damage and firing time that rivals cool-on-kill
4:30 Anyone else notice the Core Spawn Crawlers look *very* similar to the Stranger Things Demogorgon?
- Humanoid with extended limbs.
- Purple-ish-grey skin.
- A face that splits open when attacking.
- Comes through ruptures in reality.
The difference being the Stranger Things Demogorgon was (presumably) not as vulnerable to being fired upon by vertically challenged bearded war criminals.
Side note: The Stranger Things demogorgon is pathetic compared to the actual D&D Demogorgon.
10:07 rock and stone :))))
Whe have fought the Xenos threat brothers and now we have found the seeds of chaos in this world, for emperor karl we will purge and destroy this heresy
Thanks for the quality content as always! Rock and Stone!
Glad you enjoyed!
For Rock and Stone!
Glyphid stalker...now where have I seen this before
little late xD Awesome Video
ROCK AND STONE
Perhaps a controversial take, but duck and cover has swiftly become my new favorite modifier (depends on mission type). They just feel good to dance your way through, emphasis on dance. You better start dancing
It is certainly an exhilarating experience! You'll be eating your words the second the Tri-Jaws come out though.
Jokes on you I’m into that shit
I would say your late but ive watched every deep rock vid posted to yt so i cant be complaining
Glad you found my little video on the edge of the DRG community!
Season 5 is my favorite season so far!
I believe it's added the most mechanically and narratively with the set-up to Rogue Core. Also, some of these overclocks are amazing like for the Flamethrower! Very Nice.
Hell yeah
WE ARE HANDCART

Corestone when a gunner joins (It's supposed to be a difficult event)
I believe they patched the dome shield bug BTW. Get pranked Gunner Mains!
@@ExplosiveT-5 Oh the zipline spiderweb still works wonders for cheesing the corestone.

Doesn't it also boost toxic damage? (I.E. goop)
That would be Corrosive Damage (I clarify because Neurotoxin is also a damage type) and no it does not. At least not according to the wiki.
stoner rock
Nice way of advertising your Patreon
@@o.v.m._part_1 Thank you! If I need to advertise myself, I might as well make it entertaining!
