Ken Costa’s ability to articulate complex ideas with clarity and passion is so remarkable! His anecdotes from decades of experience in finance and his emphasis on integrity and authentic leadership were particularly compelling.Thank you for this discussion
So glad that you had a great discussion on money. Hope for more to come, as well as on time management. I was taught that the rubber meets the road of our faith through our areas of money and time. The person, who attends an hour service each week and throws in a couple of bucks in the offering and ignores God and His Kingdom assignments the rest of the week, needs to hear about surrendering themselves their wallet and calendar to God. I had to go through that process, helped by mentors.
Is there really a "wealth transfer" when it takes 2-3 generations to meet basic needs? Seems there is a wealth transfer, but not to the kids/grandkids but to the government and bourgeoise in the form of inflation. Inflation is a tax that isn't voted on and it takes everyone's wealth. Listening through 41 minutes and not one word of the inflation in his lifetime that has really destroyed wealth. We're now in a situation where it takes the wealth of 2-3 generations to equal the wealth that used to be 1 generation
Money is the creation of the state. It is given to us by God only inasmuch as it is the product of human creativity trying to solve practical problems, i.e., the need of a medium of exchange or store of value. But let's not pretend God creates money like he creates trees and animals and human beings.
