Brando is one of those people since his school and father are clearly homophobic it isn’t so easy for some people just because you got off easy doesn’t mean others will too. People get killed for coming out as I’m sure you’re aware of. Brando will most likely come out in season 3 but realistically a lot of people stay closeted for life because of the homophobia around them.

You got the wrong picture... 2 young men in the middle of adolescence... one who exactly knows and accepts himself for what he is... while the other one is literally stuck in the middle of his self finding process... initially going in complete denial of self recognition... due to lack of self confidence, environmental (family) and social pressure... that boy became that mean and horrible due circumstances... he can’t live as he wishes to because his dad signalizes very well his expectations from his son... young people need guidance, support and understanding from their parents so that they can develop self confidence and grow up to the person they want to be...
