    0:24-0:50 is the best advice in this entire video! PERIOD!!!
    There is something to be said for learning by doing. Avoid using crappy midi packs to do the shoddy work for you. Looking at you Unison… Young producers and musicians buying into a false sense of learning and progress with that lot.
    Do your homework! Do the work yourself! Actually grow and develop as a musician because you will actually OWN the skills you learn and not rely on crap and cheap gimmicks!

    When I first started music production one of my main issues was rhythm and patterns. I've watched many arp tutorials of yours in the last year and a half. Great inspiration as always. Cheers

      Inevitably I will start building these arp tuts into design tuts using delay, reverbs, chorus etc. I don’t know how many apps I can come up with 😂

    Legend , this has helped me a lot with making melody's, ive learnt piano in the past year which makes this all make sense , if you're using a daw ide totally recommend learning piano its a game changer!

      @@demishellen DUDE ..I live in Virginia but grew up in Trinidad ..I have no friends into trance music or production plus not popular in these places..so point is very hard to learn for me ..just access to information and I love trance music !! First trance appegio I ever heard was in the Reason 2.5 demo !! killer

    Nice one! I would probably prefer keeping the bass notes on a separate synth for easier low cutting, but each to his own! 👍

    You may wanna consider elaborating on the chords and voicing - since it's not easy to decipher, visually - even with follow the DAW interpretation, esp on small screens. Even if you drew the block chords first - then shorten the midi - that would serve a ton of information and help understand musicality. Thanks

      Hey dude, thanks for the feedback. I do have other videos on the chords and why I choose them. This video does focus more on the arpeggio design more but I agree the notes to play a role in the design too.

    For the longest i have to program my midi

      I can play pianos to a certain level however I’m not in a position to teach piano as it’s not my area really. There are plenty of RUclips tutorials on piano though. You can transfer your skills into trance.
      Years of persistence when I was younger got me here 🙂
