0:24-0:50 is the best advice in this entire video! PERIOD!!! There is something to be said for learning by doing. Avoid using crappy midi packs to do the shoddy work for you. Looking at you Unison… Young producers and musicians buying into a false sense of learning and progress with that lot. Do your homework! Do the work yourself! Actually grow and develop as a musician because you will actually OWN the skills you learn and not rely on crap and cheap gimmicks!
Appreciate this comment a lot Luke. Also to add is the fact you have a community to talk to here as well. There can be a lot to learn in forums and comments. You never know who you are going to meet. 😉
I been watching and learning from you over the few years and your tutorials are always helpful & I always struggle to those amazing sounds and patterns, your videos are very inspirational & learnt a lot, Thanks keep up the amazing work
When I first started music production one of my main issues was rhythm and patterns. I've watched many arp tutorials of yours in the last year and a half. Great inspiration as always. Cheers
Legend , this has helped me a lot with making melody's, ive learnt piano in the past year which makes this all make sense , if you're using a daw ide totally recommend learning piano its a game changer!

Superb yet again.Invaluable,thanks.I've tried to use loads of tips, techniques and theory I've learned from this channel, yourself and others comments.Great work.Much appreciated.
Awesome tutorial, I bought two of your presets for Vital and they sound absolutely amazing, very useful as they're all already made to be used with the mod wheel
Hey Demis, I really enjoy your videos and linked one of them at the end of my RUclips video, I hope you don't mind. Your melodies make me think differently and help me snap out of detuned and out of scale dubstep "melodies".
Hey Demis, as always thanks for the video tutorial. I've learnt so much from watching you over the years, thank you. I don't know about you but, ain't Dune gotta be the best sounding trance synth ever, I love the thing lol. Hardly use anything else for the last 6 months, seems to cover it all. Always on the look out for your Dune patch tutorials👀. 🤞more to follow soon.👍
Great stuff, thanks! I bought your MIDI leads and pluck to get inspired and tweak those or create some of my own with the examples in mind. It helps a lot.
Sir, I want to say thank you and that I appreciate you sharing that technique. You have inspired me to do some incredible things musically today... Thank you again sir.
You may wanna consider elaborating on the chords and voicing - since it's not easy to decipher, visually - even with follow the DAW interpretation, esp on small screens. Even if you drew the block chords first - then shorten the midi - that would serve a ton of information and help understand musicality. Thanks
Hey dude, thanks for the feedback. I do have other videos on the chords and why I choose them. This video does focus more on the arpeggio design more but I agree the notes to play a role in the design too.
I can play pianos to a certain level however I’m not in a position to teach piano as it’s not my area really. There are plenty of RUclips tutorials on piano though. You can transfer your skills into trance. Years of persistence when I was younger got me here 🙂
Appreciate your input Gareth, maybe some previous arp tuts or future ones may interest you better. Can’t expect everyone to to like what I do every time 🙂

Nice one! I would probably prefer keeping the bass notes on a separate synth for easier low cutting, but each to his own! 👍
Yep separate tracks will help with individual processing and automation. 🙂
Well this is just brilliant.

Hey good sir!
Do you have any tutoring on playing piano?
For the longest i have to program my midi
Since i do not really know how to play keyboard

Years of persistence when I was younger got me here 🙂
Great video. Which effect you used for the field modulation to alter the arpeggio with time?
Hi demis, how do we automate the filter in vital and save in playlist pattern in flstudio? i am kinda stuck there....
What's the difference between arp and riff?
yo dude u tried Studio One 5?
How did you build bass line here?
I will have a tutorial on some bass work including these patches when I have finished the Dune 3 bass pack. 🙂
Hi, is this arp preset included in your Dune 3 Trance Leads pack?
(the sound preset, not the midi)?
Yes the preset is from dune 3 trance leads pack 👍🏻
@@demishellen bought it. absolutely incredible!

Sorry but it’s incredibly boring.
