Locke is one of my all-time favourite movies. I absolutely loved it! Was not expecting to be completely captivated from start to finish. Simply brilliant movie!
"Florence Foster Jenkins" is legitimately the funniest sad movie I've seen in a while! It's also based on a very much real person, and the recordings of her terrible, but heartfelt, singing still exist.
Blood Tea and Red String This 2006 Stop Motion Animated movie was surprisingly good and very creepy at same time even though the Bat Crow protagonist are unsettling the British Red Coat Mice villains are no better
I don't know many people that have seen 'Starred Up'. I thought it was fantastic and would definitely recommend, especially if you are a fan of Jack O'Connell or Ben Mendlesohn. Great movie. On a lesser note, Manic was pretty good as well. Nothing incredible but a solid low budget indie film with some great performances by a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Zooey Deschanel and Don Cheadle.
First Reformed is a criminally underrated movie, with arguably a career best performance from Ethan Hawke. I'm 3 days late but i don't see enough people in the comments talking about it.
I do not think that you can truly consider yourself a Tom Hardy fan unless you have seen "Locke" and "Bronson". Two incredible yet polar opposite performances by him.
When it comes to deciding what movies i want to see, it all comes down to one word. 'Interest'. Is the film's subject matter or cast or reputation 'interesting' to me? if there's nothing that catches my interest, then i just make a pass on seeing it. The only one of these that i actually found interesting was 'The Aftermath'. [And that was because of the cast] Good movie about tolerance of different beliefs and morals. None of the rest of these catch my interest.
I would strongly recommend it to many, but would give them a general outline of the 5 virtues of chivalry first, lest they miss 90% of the intended story along the way.
I am a huge fan of everyone involved in the film and think it's very well made. I just don't think the actual story is very good, and the pacing is terrible.
This list is absolutely right, I didn't watch any of these movies, some of them I didn't even know existed. But after watching this video, I still don't want to watch any of these movies.
WhatCulture’s take on “Boy Erased” simply is opinion on moral issues. Been watching this happen more and more. I love this channel, and have followed for years. I just hope this trend chills a bit.
I had to check the title. I thought for sure I was watching an episode for shows to help you sleep. Hell I wanted to take a nap as you reviewed these boring sounding movies. Started with Shit and ended with Shit. Not one appealing film in the entire list.
@@Adam-uw6tn Deadpool, Planet of the Apes, Ghostbusters, Wolfs, Godzilla-Kong, and I'm sure there's a couple Rom-Coms that I can''t place. So, movies with ACTION, and not just talking.
Yikes, that was embarrassing. The Green Knight is based on the poem Gawain and the Green Knight. It is almost beat for beat with the poem; so no, it isn't "uniqe" from the source material. You should try researching your lists....
The Aftermath: The US should have NEVER allowed Germsny to exist after WW2. Nor Japan, or Italy....they lost those countries shouldve became allied territories. Just wanted to piss some of u off. But its true
I think when Willem Dafoe doesn't play a villain, he is Willem Da Friend.
I think I’ve seen that meme.
@travisinthetrunk Yeah I'm quoting one of the greats.🥂
That meme is right in a way. Willem Dafoe have that friendly aura
@@angelicagaldos He's the best.❤️
You know, he’s also something of a scientist…

And they prove that the real Jenkins' singing was even worse than the one in the movie! An admirable woman, really.
Absolutely loved The Hunter. One random day I put it on not expecting much and was I hooked. And that end stuck with me for sometime.
I thought Locke was one of the best movies I've seen in years. It's so well written, and acted.
Definitely. Its just so unique a premise. Fun fact one of Locke's sons is played by Tom Holland.
Blood Tea and Red String This 2006 Stop Motion Animated movie was surprisingly good and very creepy at same time even though the Bat Crow protagonist are unsettling the British Red Coat Mice villains are no better
The way back is one of my favorite movies
Any film Denzel Washington is in is a must watch movie.
I enjoyed all of he movies I've seen off this list, so that bodes well for the rest. Thanks!
Excellent choices.
Dafoe is a legend. He's always so good in everything.

The Way Back is a great film. As is The Green Knight. First Reformed is on my list.
'Aloneness' If only another word existed to convey that emotion better
First Reformed is a criminally underrated movie, with arguably a career best performance from Ethan Hawke. I'm 3 days late but i don't see enough people in the comments talking about it.
The Hunter, Anthropoid, The Green Knight, and The Way Back are all worth a watch. I hadn't heard of the other ones. I'll be checking out Fences
Absolutely right. I have never seen (nor even heard) of ANY of these.
The Hunter and Locke are both brilliant. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Seen every one of these movies. The Green Knight, Anthropod, and The Hunt were all worth the price of a ticket. The rest are an acquired taste. 😊
Loved the hunter, subverts expectations in the best way
I do not think that you can truly consider yourself a Tom Hardy fan unless you have seen "Locke" and "Bronson". Two incredible yet polar opposite performances by him.
Florence Foster Jenkins premise reminds me of a light-hearted Sunset Blvd. But instead of a has been it's a wannabe
The Hunter is a great movie
The Dish from 2000. A gem!
I have seen #'s 10/6/ 3/2 . plus- Peter Weir film?Paul Schrader film? have to watch... all excellent suggestions
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the story The Way Back is based on wasn't true. Rawicz's The Long Walk has been largely debunked.
Anthopoid is a cracking movie. I visited the site of the final showdown.
Locke is an AMAZING movie
I saw the hunter really good movie you should go watch it

Always thought Streep was over rated.
Was that Flea?

Factually wrong since I actually watched two of those.
Well, I guess they should have checked with you before making the video.
Recon that would slightly mess up their schedule though.😉

1st 2nd & 3rd still losers
The green knight sucked lol
The Green Knight was terrible. My wife & I both hated it. Would not recommend it to anyone.
I would strongly recommend it to many, but would give them a general outline of the 5 virtues of chivalry first, lest they miss 90% of the intended story along the way.

I would genuinely be interested if you could share a list of the top 3 or 5 films you'd watched over the last year?
