- This hike kicked my butt! If I could rewind time I would definitely switch out for a smaller pack. I absolutely adored it nonetheless! Gorgeous views and spectacular nature make this one of the premier hikes in the Bay Area. I will certainly be back to explore the rest of Henry W. Coe State Park in the future!
Thanks for watching!

A few friends and I did this hike back in October it was a great hike we started at 5am and ended at 6pm so it is a lengthy hike makes sure to bring enough food and water!!!
Glad to hear you loved it as much as I did! ^^^Listen to this man!

Great video! I used do this trail all the time to get me back in shape for wildland Fire season. That steep section or “shortcut” gets me dying all the time and I know why you didn’t film that part 😂
Great video! Thanks for sharing your adventure, looked like a lot of fun. I plan on visiting this park this spring to do some hiking. Looks like a great spot to get away from it all. Happy Trails!
we did 23 miles ( all day hike) at bear valley in point Reyes.. very nice views of ocean and lots of shades too.. only a few waterfalls that drop down to the beach.. you should go do it.. and if you go on minus tide you can have path to get inside a rare crater shape.
Amazing video man, view at 7:20 is just stunning.
Thank you so much for all your support!

Cool review! Question, why do you need a forty pound backpack for a day hike?
I can’t speak for him. But I’m guessing for training?
Damn, that is a HIKE
Ahahaha Thank you Rob!
Is solo hiking dangerous here? or in general..mt lion or coyote around the area? what do you do if you encounter them
wwwait a minute, you had that pack and you didn't camp? i know you mentioned the size in the description, but that pack size looks like 7 days of food plus all the safety/warm gear you'd need for huge mountains. did i miss something - are you training?
Did you mention your start time? Planning on doing this for the 6 pack peak challenge here soon. Any recommendations beside a light pack? How may ltr water did you pack?
Hello! Thanks for the interest. I would give yourself at least 8 hours, preferably 9-10, so depending on daylight that will determine when you start. I brought about 4 Ltr, and drank most by the end, so not less than that. Besides that I would say definitely go clockwise as doing the toughest uphill first is highly recommended. Best of luck

You can always start later depending on your tolerance for hiking in the dark. I started the hike to Sizer the other day (early January) at 2:30PM for sunset at the summit. It was AWESOME. And I didn’t have to be up super early to get there. I didn’t do the loop - I went back the way I came. But it was actually a nice evening hike back.
