When we went to Peru to work with the church in LIma in 1986, our children wrote to Michael Bond, author of the Paddington books, to ask if Paddington would like to come with us to visit Aunt Lucy in her retirement home in Lima. We got a lovely reply back, with lots of Paddington pawprints, saying that Paddington was quite happy in London and would continue to keep in touch with Aunt Lucy by writing letters to her (no email in those days). It seems from this film that Paddington has changed his mind, having thought about it for 38 years.

I'm sad that Sally Hawkins is not returning to play Mary Brown but Emily Mortimer is so perfect for a replacement in capturing the charm and warmth that Sally brought to the character. So happy to see Emily in a new movie, she's so underrated imo

The First Paddington film got 97% on Rotten Tomatoes The second film got 99% on Rotten Tomatoes And the new film has 95% on Rotten tomatoes so far But this is so amazing that they have managed to get into 90% for all three films incredible I am looking forward seeing the new one on Friday.
