This brings nostalgic memories to life within me. It becomes almost like a personal sphere where I can feel and understand the energy behind every note and absorb everything like an echo from the past ( May sound as an cliché , but it is what it is. Surtalogi has something magical about it that also in a certain way brings me back to Dissection's The Somberlain album. probably not many will feel that way because there is actually no similarity in the structure of the music. But there is something about this work that simply has the same authenticity and energy that Somberlain has ( As an example ). It is not always about which notes harmonies/disharmonies, that are played, but how the notes in its wholness are conveyed. You can somehow also hear that this is the harvest of many years of music making and struggle.Therefore the whole thing also feels very genuine. Anyway, my favorite domgård albums are probably Myrkvidr and Ödelagt.
