What a lush sound there is on this one Jon. I imagine it would be fantastic for recording especially. Even the sound system was gorgeous. Naturally beautiful to look at too. Yet another different guitar Jon. Thanks 😀👍👍

what a beautiful song, and such a beautiful guitar!
When I finally get around to having a custom guitar made just for me, it will be a Cedar top with Sinker Mahogany B/S. I have been enjoying a new (to me) classical guitar I have here, with the tightest grain of Cedar I have ever seen...it's an Alvarez from 1975, with cocobolo back and sides.
I have never heard of these Lakewood guitars but it sounds really sweet - of course, a lot of that is YOU! Haha!
    Awesome demo, Jonathan! 🐰💙🎸🎵✨🤝✌️

High level pickup and I love the ebony finger board. Cedar sure sounds melo, I like more of the bite of spruce, but it is nice.

I have an M14 and it is my nicest guitar of many. I am also getting a Maton 808C Nashville with their much admired AP5 Pro pick up system, so we will see how it measures up when it arrives (90 day wait)

Here with me M14 of 1998 production year. The cedar top is beaten, but the guitar itself sounds great. Would like to have something custom from Lakewood somewhere in the future :)

Wow, great demo. Thanks Jonathan. But, I was not expecting it to be in that price range. What do you feel is making it priced like that?

  • @michaelogden5093

The neck's a little wider than most and it's a fairly long scale. Can't tell how thick it is. Looks are understated which I really like. "Bling" is for Country performers that can't even ride a horse. Sounds great. A guy could really tell a story in a song with that one. Lots of good guitars in that price range.

In that price range, there are quite a few guitars to choose from. I didn't see or hear anything that brought this one near the top of the list. Sorry.

@Adi Golan Lately, I've preferred the sound of spruce topped mohagany guitars. My personal favorites are a Yamaha FG5 and Martin D18, although there are many other great guitars in that price range.

I guess it all depends on the personal taste really. I have played this guitar on several occasions and really enjoyed the extremely light touch an perfect playability (you can get it with a smaller neck) combined with a really delicate sound rich in overtones. At least in Germany it is hard to find other guitars in the same price range showing the same level of quality. A comparable Martin or Taylor (to my mind) would be at least 1000 EUR on top. But that might have to do with import duty.

I would get a Eastman for less.
    To expensive.
