Lupe being underrated isn’t even the word, smfh. This song alone is better than some artist’s whole catalog, even a few lines in you can tell how masterful Lupe is with his rhymes, it’s a damn shame that Lupe would have inferior views compared to some new “rapper” straight out of high school who dyed his hair an unusual color who just started making music the previous month after he saved up for a microphone and a couple of Instagram models to be in the music video.

Lupe is nice. But to condescend another artists based of one jam is silly. Lupe pushed a gimmic too hard. Kenny comes off more authentic. Not to mention good kid was an instant classic. Lupe is known for kick push. Even if you want to talk underground or earlier work....Kendrick still got him. Doesn’t take away from Lupe. Just pointing out the toxicity in your comment. You should be grateful a mind like kendricks is accepted in main stream. Stay up.
