It is SO much harder and takes so much more time with cardstock and scissors!!

Facts! I had to cut the contact paper with scissors for the first portion of it and it was dreadful 😅 But it was well worth it at the end of the project though. It took me a week to laminate mine but I only did a few at a time I didn't rush it.
