Yes it is ants in this of course
fire ants are the best ants for anything in eotu and the strongest
and i love em a lot
They aren't the strongest but do have alot of numbers
I also really love the Fire Ants. Probably my favorite ant type. Upgrading them to level 3 and enabling Mounting is huge for them, as without double ants per tile and mounting off, they're pretty fragile with only good damage. But fire ants make for INCREDIBLE mounters and reach a critical mass easily with the 2 ants/tile ability. Fire ants, once you reach that critical mass, are indeed some of the strongest ants for taking down larger enemies and Titans because their DPS skyrockets exponentially the more of them you have.
They're not quite so good at fighting large groups of smaller enemies, like other ants. Their damage is fine, but their real strength comes from mounting, so when you fight enemies you can't mount, their fragility really holds them back. But they're cheap and spammable, so they still do okay.
I wouldn't say the fire ants are the strongest, but they are really good rushers.
Personally man, i would of chosen vigorous. They dont really cost alot to hatch or hatch, and that buff lasts for a good bit of time.
-also, you cant swap the type of ant, but you can swap the abilities.

Pervasive is really good tho. For example if you have no food then you just wait and your army ants will still spawn after a bit.
I’ll agree with you there are some times where pervasive is usefully but the damage and speed buff form vigorous is overall better it only cost 4 food for a fire ant to hatch

Something I have noticed that you seem to be too busy to (viewer advantage), ants don't immediately go to the new marker. They get set to it maybe 5 per second. They go from the newest marker first, not the oldest. Spamming down a marker is actually harmful to you. If you need them to quickly retreat back to the nest, it might be better to either put them in the nest section or put them on an unused marker where you want them to go quickly.
