@@JAYBLACK35 🤣 too late, i ended up removing my front bumper. Its alright though, it’ll be easier this second time around, gotta add an intercooler and a thermostat upgrade, on stock radiator and remove the grill shutters 🤣
I just did this on my zetec 2015 UK version, it really needs brute force and will damage your old one for sure but since iam upgrading my grill it didn't matter to me.
@@Josh-vo6yk haven't put it if you mean the extra lip underneath. will put it in future for sure for now it looks much better with honeycomb black on black
Just so people know, this will destroy the grill and you won't be able to put it back on properly. Unless u have a new grill then you don't want to do this.
So its just clips? It wont cause any damage just pulling on it like that? Is it the same process for inserting the new custom grill, by just pushing the clips in?
Marco Mendez I did this and completely broke the chrome grill into pieces, didn't mind though as I was putting the honeycomb grill on anyway. If you want to keep the grill for any reason I wouldn't risk it, just take the front end bumper off and do it the proper way
Will this work on a 2016 focus s? I'm trying to paint the silver chrome piece around the grill. I know it has the active shutters so will that interfere?
Did you ever figure this out? I want to put a different grille on my focus '16 focus and I'm wondering if this is a viable option for a focus. Thanks, bud.
+will8677 I ended up just painting the chrome with plasti dip. I do have a friend that works at car toys and he said he believes it's just pressure clips holding it on. I didn't try to yank on it though. Good luck!
My grille was damaged after a pheasant ran out of a bush in front of my car. Made it a bit trickier as there wasn't much to hold on to. It did essentially work as the video showed. You can lever down some of the tabs but you do just have to yank it. Didnt do any damage to the bumper but did break the grille further. Not bothered about that as it was already broken.
Thanks! Gave me the confidence to just yank it out.
No broken clips. Easy. :)
There are broken (
Here's a quick tip for anyone doing this for the first time- wash the grill with warm water first - makes it so much easier!!
ahh i get it, hes reaching up inside pulling down and out at the same time to get the clips to release
this video is the closet thing i can find to removing my 2013 ford fusion grill. they're pretty much the same thing im wondering will this work.
Jay black did it work???
How did it go?
@@overknight5278 it was a no go. Pretty much have to snap off the clips on the inside 🙄

Hey, just wondering if your account is still active i have a few questions
In USA the license plate frame that is riveted on must first be taken off. Pain.
It ise possible to do the same procedure with the ford puma mk2? Tancks

can u do same on 2015 C-Max SEL Hybrid?

that grille is made out of cheap plastic..very flimsy.. each of those strips in the middle section costs $70... what a rip off.
