    Not too much into these type strategy games but I picked it up anyway. Kind of didn't want to lose my discount. Fashion Police is pretty cool and there's a couple others that I might try. As always thanks for the review!

      No problem, K! I'm a bit surprised that you're not into strategy games though! I guess I figured you'd like them just because you really like the card games we get. But that's too bad though. Hopefully next month will be better for you!

    Thank you for the informative video as always 😁
    I think the only one I'm somewhat excited about is Terraformers. So I'm probably skipping this month, which is not usual for me.

    As a TRPG (I think that's the civ-like-crusaderkings-like genre) addict this is great! I already have Humankind though... but some lucky relative gets it that's cool xD

    I only found symphony of war to be interesting in this bundle. I wonder how different civ 6 is with human kind. At a glance it looks like the same though. Just like the others, got the same type of game but with better counterparts which I have yet to play (i.e. dead space, Pokemon, surviving Mars). Thanks for your insight for this month's bundle as always

      No problem, Joms! I appreciate your thoughts as well.
      But yeah, at a glance, I can see why Civ 6 would seem the same as Humankind...I probably didn't do a good enough job explaining it but there are definite differences between Humankind and Civ. And Surviving Mars is more of a city builder than Terraformers being a turn-based strategy...board game for lack of a better word. But I definitely get what you're saying. I had a hard time writing these reviews because so many of the games made it too easy to say, "This game is like this other popular game that you know."

      Humankind way better than civ 6

    • @StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews
      @StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@zacharybecker8228 As someone who hasn't spent nearly as much time in Humankind as I have pretty much any of the Civ titles, I definitely can't say for sure.
      Although, I think my familiarity with Civ makes it hard for me to play other 4X titles that are similar. For Humankind, I liked several of the changes on paper but there were some things that I don't think worked as well as I thought they might.
      Why do you like Humankind better than Civ 6?

    • @pdraggy
      @pdraggy 5 месяцев назад +2

      I have 1000s of hours in Civ (5, 6, Revolutions etc.) and 500+ in Humankind. The main difference is in Civ you take your turn than the computer takes it's turn. In Humankind both you and the computer take the turn SIMULTANEOUSLY so in a few cases you just have to be fast xD it puts a different spin on things, something that NO other civ clone does, and is why, IMO whether people know it or not, people find that Humankind stands out in the genre. Well, that and the whole pick a new culture every era thing. But I just wanted to lead off with a REALLY technical answer that someone who hasn't put 100s of hours into the game wouldn't realize.
      Other than that, it's just more civ (the developers go out of their way to avoid overlap in fact) and to me that's not really a bad thing xD I LOVE historical sims and learning about new cultures.

    Hob's Barrow, I quite like P&C games so it was nice to see it.
    Coromon definitely looked like a competent clone, and hyped to try it out after the Pokemon franchise keeps getting worse and doesn't want to change. Wishlist.
    Symphony of war seems fairly fun, and what really surprised me is that it's overwhelmingly positive, the highest rated game of the bundle! I was too quick in thinking it would be mediocre because of the RPG maker style.
    Terraformers, yes, looks fun. Wishlist.
    Fashion police squad, hohoho, yeah it's a good one. I remember when it was announced. Wishlist.
    Humankind, civ like we can say heh. Enough to try. Wishlist.
    Callisto protocol was a strange one, it went on the ignored because I thought it was just another horror game, but after seeing gameplay of it, it looked kinda comical and with some gameplay. Enough to give it a try.
    Victoria 3 is more on the opposite side, I think I really don't like grand strategy games, I'm still going to try it, but it's a type of game where it feels like what you do doesn't matter because rng events just decide what happens regardless. Wishlist but got close to being removed.
    As you noticed, this month looks like the best I ever had, with 5 wishlist and no skips. And while there's no "really want to play" game, they're all going to be checked and some are looking quite fun.
    As for playing stuff, for now I still haven't planned a new game since there's some big minecraft maps to deal with first.

    • @StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews
      @StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews  5 месяцев назад +1

      Always appreciate you sharing your thoughts, Orian! Callisto Protocol was a strange one for me too. Although I already knew of its Dead Space origins but once it released...well, it didn't do too favorable. I didn't mind it though so I fairly happy to give it a go and see if it holds up.
      I'd say yeah, that could be the case in Victoria 3. Obviously, I don't know enough to know one way or the other. But I do know that in Crusader Kings, people could get up to some pretty crazy things so it's not entirely at the whims of RNG. I'm assuming Victoria 3 might be the same.
      And which maps? I'm so out of the loop with Minecraft now. When I last played was when it was still on Mojang's website. I've seen they overhauled a ton of biomes...but I have no idea about the maps. I was never quite sure what that meant. Just something you download and explore I guess? Or is there more to it than that?

    • @TheOrian34
      @TheOrian34 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews Haha, those maps are a specific genre: CTM (Complete The Monument).
      They're more action focused, with custom combat and exploration, more akin to playing a game than the usual survival gameplay(the longer ones being as long as 20 to 30 hours).
      It's mostly a small community but thriving on the discord, the biggest release since 10 years or so is coming today: Ragecraft 4!
      It's something like the Elden Ring of CTM maps.

      @@TheOrian34 Wow, I had no idea. That's really cool actually.
      Upon thinking about it, I did remember a time before Battle Royale games were a thing and my wife and I played on custom Hunger Games maps for Minecraft. That was pretty fun.
      Well enjoy your time with it, man! Your backlog will be waiting (and probably calling your name haha).

    I already own Coromon and Symphony of War, but other than that it seem to be a good month with a lot of time consuming games, not sure I'll bite, there is really not must play there for me, but lots of interesting smaller games.
    Overall not a bad month but I can see this being quite weak to people that aren't into strategy games too much.
    I also think that there is too many strategy games when you think about how long it takes to finish one of those.

    • @StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews
      @StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews  5 месяцев назад

      I feel like strategy is one genre that probably isn't as abundant as some of the others. You are right though. They take a while. Although, I wouldn't even say it's because one game takes forever...but it's because you're probably going to be playing multiple games before you feel like you've had your fill of the title. Hence why I have hundreds of hours with Civ...
      At the same time, I'm about 60 hours in with Marvel's Midnight Suns and I don't think I'm even halfway through yet...so yeah, definitely time consuming haha

      @@StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews Whenever I start a strategy game, I tend to know that I'm in for around hundred of hours, so it's difficult to play many, but that's maybe due to me playing games for a long period of time.

      @@StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews Hi. Thanks for asking. I love a good strategy game. Humankind looks very tempting. I'm afraid I'd give up on Victoria because it would be too time consuming. the one I was mainly interested in was Callisto. But the reviews show it as great looking but average. I still have yet to finish Dead Space, a fav horror game of mine. I'm actually considering picking up the remake next time it's on sale and play it instead. (well, DS and the Crysis trilogy remasters, once they are all on sale) None of that is the biggest reason. I'm pushing 60 and got my first VR headset a few weeks ago. So 100% of my game time I've been on that, dodging motion sickness and "other things". lol Callisto can be converted to VR using a mod. But there are so many VRs I picked up recently I'm working through those. This is almost like buying a whole new system and putting all the old stuff in the closet. lol so little time....

    • @StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews
      @StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@jimperry4108 I completely understand that. I'm pretty sure I could stop buying games and have enough to last me the rest of my life.
      Dead Space was also a favorite of mine as well. The remake looks really appealing. I wouldn't mind seeing that in Choice one day but one can dream lol.
      I'm not sure if I could do something like that VR if it was a mod. I don't have a headset anymore, but when I did I found that I could only play games that were built from the ground up to be VR. Otherwise, I'd get motion sickness. To be honest though, I spent most of my time just using my headset as a cardio workout playing Beat Saber lol. Maybe one day I'll get another one and try some other stuff out.

    • @jimperry4108
      @jimperry4108 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews same here. And I end up playing the same ones half the time.
      I have yet to try the modded VRs yet. I"ve read they often work great. Like Resident Evil 7. I'm afraid quick movement would get me on that one. Not to mention it's scary as hell! But I'm looking forward to giving it a go one day.
      I got a few exercise VRs in a recent bundle. I still need to try those. They look great1 Lots of punching then, ducking and weaving around. So far, Thrill of the Fight is the one I've been having a great workout with. I'll promise myself 2 or 3 fights but even on easy I'm exhausted when I'm done. But very happy! It's unlike I could have ever dreamed a boxing game would ever be.
      I'm new with VR but I've been bowled over by the Q3. It is the "honeymoon period" as they say, but I couldn't imagine getting tired of this anytime soon. I've always loved 3D movies and it wasn't until a few weeks ago, while I was waiting for amazon to finally ship mine, that I found out there is depth in games. Really makes you feel like you're there. And Q3 has mixed reality as well. First game I played when I got it was First Encounter, which is free. It was unreal.

      @StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews  5 месяцев назад

      @@jimperry4108 That sounds great! Back when I had one, it was a Rift which still used a cord. I think only the original Quest was out at the time.
      As much as I hated the cord, I didn't get the Quest because, at the time, it couldn't connect to the PC with my Steam library. My wife kept telling me just to hold off and wait and then it probably would be able to.
      Well, I probably should have waited haha. The Quest 3 definitely looks pretty good. But I don't have the money for that at the moment. So I'll probably just hold out for the headset after that. Or maybe the one even after that. Although, you definitely make it sound enticing to jump back into VR again!

    So the last bundle the headliners were the main reason I instantly said no to that bundle, now we have this months bundle and I think the headliner games are it’s weakest part, I’m currently unsubbed from the bundle after last months poor showing (you would need to pay me just to have the new saints row in my library and I’m talking a few hundred quid and that’s not to play it that’s just to have it contaminating my other games with it’s presents you would need to make me a millionaire if you actually wanted me to play it some would say it’s an overreaction but I feel really strongly about what they did to that game and how they insulted their old fans, one thing you should never do is insult your fans especially as your first interaction with them, but anyway back on topic) so at the min I’m weighing up if symphony of war is worth it, on the one hand this bundle is the lowest price the game has been, it’s lowest steam sale been something lik 10.75 (uk) so that’s more than this full bundle and there are a few other games that I may like as I’ve always had a soft spot for the old point and clicks like the discworld games and broken sword, hobs barrow is on my wish list so I’ll likely end up getting this bundle when I have the spare cash (so much of my money nowadays is already accounted for before I get it it makes my grumpy 😅)
