There was one moment in which Kokichi was actually honest about who he is as a person, but the funny thing is that he wasn't even referring to himself. And as the killing game progresses, he becomes more and more erratic. Honestly, I think Kokichi's actions were pretty fucked up, but I can see why he did it. He wanted the remaining students to have a common enemy and, well, if it had to be him, so be it. He's the Ultimate Supreme Leader for a reason - he's good at motivating people. He knew what he was doing - he was trying to give them a common goal. But he also wanted to lure out the true Mastermind. It... kind of worked, too. The remaining students did overcome the truth of the outside world and come together to end the killing game. Kokichi's not an "uwu baby boy" but he's not an evil villain, either. He just needs someone to try and understand him, get past the walls he puts around himself, and see who he truly is as a person. Someone like Shuichi, Kaede, or Rantaro would be able to understand him - Shuichi's able to pick up on most of his lies, Kaede's empathetic and understanding, and Rantaro can likely read him better than most because out of the entire cast, Kokichi is likely most similar to Rantaro. Aeris, do you really need the game to stop and give a blatant message that "telling other people's private information is not okay" when it's meant for mature audiences who should be able to understand these themes without having their hand held 24/7? I have to agree with the statement on his design, honestly it's pretty great. Its a straight jacket which visually indicates that he's unstable, whether you headcanon his Pregame self as someone who went to an asylum or not. Hes also looks very childish with the different colored buttons and messy clothes, yet the rips show that he honestly isn't as innocent as a child. I might be overthinking this though sjsjsjsj
Wait... HOLD UP, I'm confused. I know of certain headcanons, such as the idea that Kokichi (in the context of the killing game) is a street orphan (the main evidence being that DICE is a reference to an anime starring an organization of kids who are exactly that, a ragtag team of street orphans, with a villainous counterpart who pretends to be part of the same organization known to have a chess theme much like the DICE in V3. That and it'd explain why they're a group of petty thieves in mildly disheveled clothes with no parental figures present). But I honestly have no clue where the idea of his pre-game self being sent to an asylum comes from. We literally get a few seconds even seeing pre-game Kokichi... and the whole point was that the pre-game characters were normal, basic students. It'd also be weird given child asylums are very rare nowadays and heavily looked down upon; the main form of in-patient healthcare in developed countries has become psych wards and mental health clinics within hospitals. I'm not saying that it's impossible to exist and there are works of fiction containing child asylums set in more modern times (for instance, the animated series Invader Zim has the 12 year old Dib get sent to one it's Halloween episode) but there are no signs the DR universe does. Keep in mind that many of the Ultimates talents in supplementary material like the anime and Danganronpa Zero (which ARE canon) include forms of modern medicine and psychiatry such as the Ultimate Neurologist, Ultimate Pharmacist, and Ultimate Therapist. Even given that the Hope's Peak saga is fictional in-universe in the context of V3, the fact those concepts EXIST heavily implies that they are already commonplace in the real world too. I just... don't get it.
@@TheStarsTwilight i see what you mean, but there are a lot of people who see his straight jacket and headcanon that perhaps he was in an asylum. Tbh people like random headcanons so I don't think we should think to deeply about it, I mean hell I have a headcanon that Kokichi can ride a motorcycle 💩
Love him or hate him, Kokichi is one of the best characters that made DRv3 interesting. Tbh tho, I just kin him because I relate to his insecurities and I enjoy his mischievous personality. I don't call him "uwu boi" cause he is FAR from an innocent boi.
Same he is both terrifying and adorable. I love Kokichi and even though he's done a lot of terrible things I still think he's one of the few good written characters in V3. But I wish he got both a redemption arc and was a survivor I think it would have saved the game and his character if we had four people live instead of three.
@@creativecutieprincessd yup the sprites still haunt me but i watch it anyways 🧍🏽♀️ i wish we got to play as him like nagito. can you imagine an au where kokichi was the protag like-
Uhm... honestly? I think Kokichi is a very well written character. People get mad that he has “no character”, that he has no real backstory- that’s the point. The whole thing about Kokichi is that he’s supposed to be a mystery, never knowing if he’s telling the truth or not. At first he’s a super energetic and mean-girlish character, and as the story goes on he gets more complex. It’s stated by him himself that he loves seeing people suffer, that he enjoys it, and that he’s the mastermind and loves the killing game- but that was all a lie. You can see in his last words that were exchanged between him and Kaito that his true feelings were extreme resent and hate towards the killing game. He just wanted to end it. He planned his own death, and got Kaito and Maki involved. His plan was to get crushed by the hydraulic press disguised as Kaito. During all this, he was in immense pain. He couldn’t breath, he had two open wounds from Makis crossbow, he was stuttering, etc. And then, boom- he got under the press and k1lled h1mself. Really, all he wanted to do was end the killing game... and I guess, that’s just what he did.
I like Kokichi as a character, not a person. Whether or not he is a good person or not doesn't matter to me, I don't care if there is some hidden meaning behind his actions or is simply a terrible person. I like Kokichi because he isn't boring, he isn't a 'good protag golden boy' like say, Suichi and he doesn't need to be. He doesn't need to be good because it's his unexpected actions and controversial dialogue that make him interesting as a character. He may be a villain, but he is a well written one. Characters like this really stick with me because if you just wanted a 'normal person' you can just go outside and converse with actual human beings. It's the fact he doesn't act like a normal person that makes him stand out more, whether thats in a good or bad way is for people to decide on their own.
As a Kokichi kinnie there is a reasonable reason that I kin him *I just don’t go into it because whenever I tell people I kin him they automatically just start making hydrolic press jokes and don’t give me a chance to explain*
Ok I love kokchi for being such a interesting and funny character I love how he would insult miu and how he tells his little lies I honestly think he’s not overrated or underrated he’s just a panta obsessed short funny liar

Kokichi Is one of my favourite characters I find him interesting I feel like he is playing a big evil kid role for his self esteem and he wants to get on the masterminds good side to get some more info on how to get out wich would save them all
I'd say Kokichi is an interesting character that I think works really well for V3's Themes of Truth and Lies. He's not my favorite character out of V3 but definitely a good and I can see others like or hate him.
@LexiLoree, Honestly same. Maybe I haven’t been on platforms where people do that or something but so far Kokichi fans aren’t really like that, they can put out some strong opinions but I haven’t really seen anyone shorten him to that.
LexiLoree I've seen it a lot, it comes from ship videos such as saiouma mostly. They make him uwu small little gay boy who did nothin wrong and it sucks. Your lucky to not find any of those videos, i'm not the same sadly.
The stans are annoying, but the antis are even worse. I saw a post yesterday about antis comparing Ouma to Ted Bundy. Yes, Ted Bundy. And they just get so many things wrong about his character... if you hate him, you can say that he’s annoying, or that you didn’t like his actions in Chapter 4. I don’t care about that. What peeves me is when they make remarks about his character that isn’t true at all. Yes, he is up to interpretation. But he has things that are canonical no matter what you say. He isn’t an evil psychotic killer who thrives off seeing the despair of others. He isn’t some “shy uwu boy”. He’s a complex character that shows what a stressful killing game can do to someone.
i think a lot of people, whether you like or dislike Kokichi, spend way too much time comparing him to nagito. nice to see some people appreciate him for his own character arc for once :”)
Say what you want, wether you love Kokichi or not, (i love him so much tho i kin lol) he is a great antagonist, he made the game super fun just like Nagito, just a lil less crazy, you dont needa love him but you gotta agree that he made the game more interesting.
Honestly I liked him because he made me laugh in V3 even when the trial was getting me sad and stuff, he was like comedic relief I guess? Originally i disliked Kokichi until i was like "wait no they're actually kinda funny" despite all the lies I found it entertaining to see how he interacted with the rest, Controversial but like: I dont like Nagito tho, like, he gave me multiple headaches and it was painful, I dont get why anyone likes him, though i guess its simular to the Kokichi situation P.s. I actually hated Miu and I predicted how Gonta would be lead to kill, so honestly I think I was just super happy about that, like I knew he'd be manipulated into it, and I just really, really, really wanted Miu dead, I was happy but sad hehe it was actually fun making a list of predictions after their intros
althought in not *really* in this fandom (my friend really likes it and I started kind of getting into the lore and characters) i do like his character and how mysterious he is, I really like his interactions with others like kaede, and his Dice ''big world organisation'' prankster group aswell as the fact he sacrificed himself to stop the killing game (and/or saving his friends) felt like that added some nice character. idk how to explain it but I kind of find his character interesting as we really don't know that much about him and why he lies and acts the way he does Kaede Korekiyo and kokichi are my faves :)
I don’t hate Kokichi (or anyone else really), I actually like his character. I don’t think he’s an ‘uwu boy’ and I don’t like it when people call him that or when people call him the embodiment of evil either. He’s probably one of the most complex characters I’ve ever seen. He did some horrible things, but there was also the whole fiasco with wanting to end the killing game. That gives him a lots of reason to do the things he did, but it didn’t necessarily justify them either. Heck, that goes for basically any blackened. I won’t explain it all here but one thing I want is for people to understand Kokichi’s character and reasons for what he did before forming an opinion on him. I don’t mind if you love him or hate him, because those are both valid opinions. Just do your research :)
Same i don't hate anyone, and i agree, not just kokichi, it's really mandatory to try to understand a character's thought process before forming an opinion
I will say Kokichi had a lot of character development and all that and I didn’t mind his character design. Though his personality I didn’t care for, he pretty much killed two people, so he’s neutral with me, but I could care less about him as a character tbh-
I hate Kokichi, but not in the way you think. He gets too much credit for being “a deep character” since the writers tried to redeem him in chapter 5. I’m not against a redemption. Actually, I think Kokichi trying to cope and break free from his psychological lying would be really cool and emotional and great development. But NO they just tried to make him a sympathetic boi right after what he did to Gonta.
YEAH FACTS as someone who really likes kokichi his redemption really could've been more well executed. I like the fact that he does have good intentions and overall I think he's a pretty well-written character, but his shot at redemption felt VERY rushed. But then again, that's kind of how I feel about v3 in general. Good concepts and ideas, bad execution.
I agree partially, i liked the fact that he had goOd intentions all along because it makes him more complex, but the way it was presented was a bit underwhelming and forced
I feel like they messed up his character really badly in Chapter 5. They took away everything that made him who he is just to make another SDR2 Trial 5 rip-off. It took away everything he had unique about him just to follow the algorithm the game had from the second game. It makes me mad because not only did it ruin Kokichi, Kaito, Maki and Shuichi but it also makes him be compared to Komaeda so much and I hate it. They are two completely different characters, the only things they have in common is their overall chaotic aura but other than that nothing. Also I don't want Kokichi, a character I hate, be compared to a character I love. It's annoying

My take on kokichi based off a tumblr ask I once read: “As a Kokichi stan, I understand the social benefits of his perishing, please continue”
Love him or hate him, Kokichi is one of the best characters that made DRv3 interesting.
Tbh tho, I just kin him because I relate to his insecurities and I enjoy his mischievous personality. I don't call him "uwu boi" cause he is FAR from an innocent boi.
Ngl I probably wouldn’t love Kokichi as much as I do if it weren’t for his insults lmao
Nagito pfp
confession: i only like kokichi for his design, i don’t care for his personality or character. i just think he’s adorable.
I like him mostly because of the 'Cause I'm a liar' song
I feel like most of the fandom like him because of his sexuality. Same thing goes with Nagito.
Same he is both terrifying and adorable. I love Kokichi and even though he's done a lot of terrible things I still think he's one of the few good written characters in V3. But I wish he got both a redemption arc and was a survivor I think it would have saved the game and his character if we had four people live instead of three.
fair enough. his design alone is enough to win me over.
I think he's a comedic, semi-tragic, and well developed character, but the way the fandom treats him can get slightly irritating at times.
There has been so much Kokichi discussion recently im kinda scared of the fandom
Kokichi: Short guy cuz he's 5'1
Me: being 5'2 :')
Like why nobody talking about that Goku at that drip at the end bro

I'm a Kokichi kinnie but I hate talking about it smh-
It's called ✨lying because im scared of people knowing who i am✨
Ikr this comment made my day i can relate

Naaah. Describing Kokichi would take a lot more than 3 minutes. That was just scratching the surface. Honestly, he's my favorite character.
I agree
The goku at the end had me rolling
Kokichi Is one of my favourite characters I find him interesting I feel like he is playing a big evil kid role for his self esteem and he wants to get on the masterminds good side to get some more info on how to get out wich would save them all
I'd say Kokichi is an interesting character that I think works really well for V3's Themes of Truth and Lies. He's not my favorite character out of V3 but definitely a good and I can see others like or hate him.
I do not kin, Kokichi but he makes me happy and I love his character
I liked him, but it feels like he existed just to be an antagonist character sometimes
Oh yeah a video about our lord and saviour Kokichi Ouma
Every single one of the videos I've watched of you had me rolling. Keep it up u great
Mandy is 2 for 2 with the Goku Drip.
He really made DGV3 way funnier/better.
My opinion on kokichi:
A huge lying grape gremlin who can relate to me by his roasts-
The last time I was this early Kaede was still alive
now this is quality content.
I think he's great but the way his fanbase dumbs his character down to "uwu gay boy" is god awful and is the exact reason why I _hate_ it
@LexiLoree, Honestly same.
My fave af 🤫 i just love how insane and useless he is hahaha if that makes sense
Not me seeing this after creating my Kokichi hate account 😩👊
i think a lot of people, whether you like or dislike Kokichi, spend way too much time comparing him to nagito. nice to see some people appreciate him for his own character arc for once :”)
Me a kokichi and nagito kinnie watching this:
Ok should I be offended or not-?😂😂😂
tbh i really love kokichi for literally no fucking reason and if I come across somebody who dislike kokichi, I totally understand why
do i love him? yes.
do i hate him? yes.
do i kin him? yes.
is he possibly the love of my life? tbh, yes.

OKAY THAT AT THE END WAS UNNECESARY
Say what you want, wether you love Kokichi or not, (i love him so much tho i kin lol) he is a great antagonist, he made the game super fun just like Nagito, just a lil less crazy, you dont needa love him but you gotta agree that he made the game more interesting.
OMA IS BEST BOIIIIIII
Honestly I liked him because he made me laugh in V3 even when the trial was getting me sad and stuff, he was like comedic relief I guess? Originally i disliked Kokichi until i was like "wait no they're actually kinda funny" despite all the lies I found it entertaining to see how he interacted with the rest,
Controversial but like:
I dont like Nagito tho, like, he gave me multiple headaches and it was painful, I dont get why anyone likes him,
though i guess its simular to the Kokichi situation
P.s.
I actually hated Miu and I predicted how Gonta would be lead to kill, so honestly I think I was just super happy about that, like I knew he'd be manipulated into it, and I just really, really, really wanted Miu dead, I was happy but sad
hehe it was actually fun making a list of predictions after their intros
Idk I love Kokichi for some reason-
He is evil but also morally good and I just love characters like that for some reason-
Congrats on 70K!
althought in not *really* in this fandom (my friend really likes it and I started kind of getting into the lore and characters) i do like his character and how mysterious he is, I really like his interactions with others like kaede, and his Dice ''big world organisation'' prankster group aswell as the fact he sacrificed himself to stop the killing game (and/or saving his friends) felt like that added some nice character. idk how to explain it but I kind of find his character interesting as we really don't know that much about him and why he lies and acts the way he does
Kaede Korekiyo and kokichi are my faves :)
1:46 FINALLY SOMEONE WHO SAYS IT
IKR- I LOVE KOKICHI BUT I HATE WHEN PEOPLE ACT LIKE HE'S SUCH AN UWU BOY
@@alina-ds4bt I hate kokichi with a passion and this "uwu boy" kokichi shit pisses me off
I have no problem with people loving/hating kokichi, but comparing him to nagito crosses the line for me lmao
Same i don't hate anyone, and i agree, not just kokichi, it's really mandatory to try to understand a character's thought process before forming an opinion
what glorious video has come upon me

I will say Kokichi had a lot of character development and all that and I didn’t mind his character design. Though his personality I didn’t care for, he pretty much killed two people, so he’s neutral with me, but I could care less about him as a character tbh-
Is it just me, but has everyone been roasting Kokishi lately?
Kokichi ouma kinnie moment
As a Kokichi kinne...
YOUR SPEAKING FACTS FOR REAL
LIKE- cool thanks my boi Kokichi for your sacrifice but... I still don’t forgive you...
When i first looked at him i thought, "woah a hair dresser".
