  • The outlook for the growth of Classic Camping Living History is getting better and better
We've gotten to the point in the hobby that trying to do it with vintage and original gear won't support the numbers wishing to participate, so there's a growing need for reproductions of all kinds.. Here's a bit about the contribution I'm trying to make.

good morning, Sarge , all those products are so cool . and really authentic. I remember seeing old boxes and things in dad's old outbuildings where they saved everything.

Thank you. Ich Finde deine Bemühungen für die Alten Camping Ausrüstung und Darstellung sehr Toll. Und Deine Video mit Hund im Wald finde ich super gelungen. Es kommt wider die Zeit wo du in denn Wald bist. Gruß Mario

👍 Thank you for the update. You are already working on one order for me (clothes wallet & mailing tube) and it looks like I may be making more orders. Excellent ideas for early 20th Century products that will be useful in the 21st Century.

Yes, and the sewing machine crapped out. The guy wasn't in the shop today, going to take it in tomorrow--it usually takes about a week for him to get the job done.

    Sarge,
Unfortunately Williams Shaving soap is no longer made. I've used it for years. I'm on my last puck. It was a great product. I will miss it.

Hey sarge how can I get started
Like you ? I'm a big fan of your videos ,and have learned a lot. You have brought back a lot of my childhood camping memories ! I want to start videos about improvising outdoors gear out of junk I did when I was a kid . We were poor and had to learn to make do .

First, don't expect to make money right away, and when you do start making money, don't expect a lot. That's why you should do videos about something you love, that way it doesn't turn into a job. You can get started with just your phone as a camera, but eventually you'll probably want to go with something a bit more.
Expect to put in about 4 hours of editing for every video---editing is, IMO, the key. The good news is that there's a free editing program called Shotcut and about a kajillion videos on how to use it. can't overstate the importance of editing. Focus on telling a story, and make it a story you know you can tell and care about. Do videos that make you happy and proud to have made.
Check for the current You Tube Adsense requirements (they've changed since I got started).
Hope that helps, ask me any question you want, I'll do what I can.
LMK your channel and I'll be one of your first subscribers!
      Thanks for watching!
