That bridge before the guitar solo totally makes the song. Hey, love the third floor tom too! This was a thunderous assault of double kick and growling toms 😆😆😆😂😂😂 Nice work buddy. You always bring it!! 🔥🔥🔥
What up man!!!! Man, I get stoked when I can use the baby tom 🤣🤣😂😂. But I don't know if you can see from the shot, I had the 14 that matches this kit out because of how much tom work there is dude LOL! The floors are mismatched on this. I was trying a 14 up top, a 15 from my other kit and the 16 with this one. I ended up sticking with my normal 12 up top just because I listened to that track and Eric Singer does this beautiful job of going back and forth from his top to his floor. That bridge - I'm with you 🤘🤘. They came up with some tasty stuff on that. I just appreciate the hell out of ya ED!!!!
It's throwback stuff man so it makes me smile to know you listened to this too! So many of us ended up ultimately leaning more toward the untouchable aggression from Pantera, Rage, Zombie - there were so many great albums as the landscape shifted. But dude, I didn't do this one for views or anything. I honestly really liked their album and it was a weird one because they came to my attention after Eric Singer had moved over to Kiss. All I can say is these cats wrote a really damn good blues based rock and roll album and there's not a weak spot on it. I was torn between this one and Rumbling Train (talk about two COMPLETELY different styles 🤣🤣). Andrea bro, your Territorial Pissings cover - 😲😲. WOW man - I just left another comment because I have listened to that one 10+ times by now. It's pure beauty dude. Appreciate ya so much my friend
Man, doing straight 8th notes on the kick drum at 90bpm for almost 5 minutes....no thank you! Double kicks all the way. Love the nostalgic feel of this groove, you just don't hear this any more with today's music. Nice work Trey.
GREAT POINT Bryan. Nope - this is gone. I do take pride in doing what I can to keep up with recent music ranging from Goija to Trivium and so many more. Dude, what these bands are doing is nothing short of incredible. Hell, Oceans Ate Alaska bends my mind just as an example. But there is a piece of me that misses this kind of drive with no click, no cleaning up the track in post and all of that. I admired this band also because they mixed in a different way for that time frame. No huge shotgun snares. It was a stripped down, very real recording to me. Eric Singer's drumming on that whole album is as live as it gets. Just mad props & respect to him and Jake E Lee dude. Think the world of you bro and thank you for your email! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I can't get enough of praising your work! Excellent performance my friend, and awesome sound. You are a very great companion, and your editions sound like pure Rock! CONGRATULATIONS Trey B !!!
Their material came to me (looks like) about 4 years after it had come out. But, I do remember hearing Dreams In The Dark on MTV before I really played drums. Another random memory popped up from doing this cover and that was seeing Jake E Lee as a solo act in a tiny, tiny ass club around 1994. His f'n drummer was a young Ray Luzier. There was possibly 80 to 90 people in a shotgun room club. Jake was insanely loud and Ray was so good it was crazy dude
Killer job brah!...What a great band, and epic voice and legendary guitar work by Jake. Jake always speaks HIGHLY of Ray. RIP Ray, we miss your spirit and voice! 💔 ......GREAT VID!!! 🎥🥁🎶

Dude, your double kicks are steady as a freaking metronome! 😮 Super powerful drumming with highly sophisticated cymbal work. Absolutely loving this! This is the right kind of song to kickstart my day. - Your timing is absolutely flawless, even in stick breaking… 😄🤘Killer job, my friend! I really enjoyed this one!!!

Killer cover Trey! It's cool to see you tearing up this straight old school rock & roll vibe. That power thumping kick pattern is so heavy and perfect with the timing and feel -- you definitely nailed it. Impressive and dope, as always! 🤘🤘
Sure appreciate ya Mike! Eric Singer is a bad, bad dude in my opinion man. I re-watched that bootleg of them in California on here. DAMNNNNNN.............they were a bad ass band. To me, it was a different breed of band than that late 80's hair metal death rattle. They were solid as hell. No gimmicks - just monster musicians.
What up John? Dude, I loved Eric's playing on this album. I still very much do. I love it to the point I still wonder about doing Dreams In The Dark or Rumblin' Train. Man, Eric went from this into Paul Stanley's solo band and then into Kiss. He was a guy I saw once and everything from his set up to his sound made a massive impact on me. I didn't go so far as to get Pearl drums (because I was broke and 1 kit was all I was gettting 🤣🤣🤣) but I really did adjust my ride cymbal, my toms - anything I'd see on those bootleg VHS tapes, I'd start trying it. He looked so cool when he played but he also came across as a pure master at what he did. Seriously, thank you so much for the kind words 🤘🤘🤘
What up RIch! Yep, they keep that steady pulse throughout this tune. Eric Singer can play things like this so many different ways, I honestly couldn't tell you how he played it. He was so damn good at knowing how to incorporate his feet in fills and tunes. For a number of years, he and Randy Castillo really did get my attention in a massive way. All of Eric's work with Alice Cooper is outstanding. Believe it or not, my least favorite part of his career is the Kiss with makeup and the only reason I say that is because they keep the lid on him. I loved watching him rip into their tunes during the Revenge tour. WHOLE notha' ball game 😲😲. Appreciate ya bro!
I wouldn't want to guess how many times I busted the living shit out of my hands trying that years ago 🤣🤣. This was another one that made me think of ya dude. Drum wise, Eric Singer did a hell of a job on this whole album. That dude is a monster player Donnie!
That was a fucking killer track brother!!!!! Total beast mode!!!! Beating the shit outta those skins like they owed you money, kicking the bass drum like a rented mule and slapping those cymbals like a redheaded stepchild!!!! Nice!!!! now we are talking, getting my boy Eric Singer some love! Maybe some Revenge down the road? The first Badlands is such a great album. And dude you bass drum skills are inspiring! Now i gotta get behind the kit!
What up dude! Yep, Eric was a dude that really just looked and sounded so cool. I've enjoyed his work as a hired gun. I absolutely LOVE what he did with Alice Cooper and I thought on the Revenge tour, he just took so many of those songs to a whole different level. But this album is just some down and dirty rock drumming from that time frame. Dude could (can) play his ass off. He's also a MONSTER back up vocalist! He and Pat Torpey from Mr. Big are stand outs to me as players who took their skill level on the kit over the top but also could get hired by anybody based on the fact they could put harmony to anyone. I'll give Revenge a listen! It's been a minute. Unholy is the one I remember - that might be cool. Appreciate you bud! 🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘

.You had a great idea to play this track of "badland" I really like "jack e lee" and "eric singer" is a great drummer. your chain is full of treasures!!! and you always play them very well!!!
Bob dude, I greatly appreciate your kind words. Means the absolute world my friend 🙏🙏🙏🙏
My 3-week old son is diggin it man! Oh, so am I…but you know, once you have kids, you don’t matter anymore lol. Amazing stuff as always brother!!! Sound is so killer!
CONGRATS again Kelly!!!!!!!!!!!! He's an absolute doll dude. I threw this one in after the Crue '94 tribute in the same setting and just let it fly so I sure appreciate your kindness man. Eric Singer was a bad, bad man. Hell, he IS a bad man to this day. Just a brute of a drummer
Hell yeah dude! That was killer!
Back at you bud! Just watched the full Pennywise cover and you killed that shit bro! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@TreyBDrums Thanks man!
Nice one bro! Sounded epic!
Will buddy, I sure appreciate ya! You keep up the great work on your channel!!
Very nice. I’ve always been a fan of Ozzy’s JEL era stuff. Probably as much as the Rhodes era if I’m honest.
Good work buddy.
Dude, Jake is a LOT of people's second. I got jammed up because Zakk came in and did No Rest For The Wicked. So I'm the weirdo with Bark At The Moon and No Rest For The Wicked as my fav Ozzy albums 🤣🤣😂😂
@@TreyBDrums same for me on the albums.
Perfect
This was another one that made me think of ya dude. Drum wise, Eric Singer did a hell of a job on this whole album. That dude is a monster player Donnie!
I still wanna see snortin' whiskey
That was a fucking killer track brother!!!!! Total beast mode!!!! Beating the shit outta those skins like they owed you money, kicking the bass drum like a rented mule and slapping those cymbals like a redheaded stepchild!!!! Nice!!!! (Was that enough analogies for ya?) Then you bust a stick right at the end!!!! Just awesome man!!!!! 👌
Oh yeah, the playing was not bad!😅🤣😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Mike Honcho responding - As always, you fucking make me smile bro!!! Dude, your set up is officially the set up I've tried to draw since I was a kid 😆😆 I'm looking forward to the cover you told me about. I'll throw some analogies on your channel dude LOL!!!! I respect the shit out of you Marcus
Still killing it I see man!! 👏🏼👏🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
What up bro!!!!! Good to hear from ya man! Still just trying to play a little here and there bud. Need to head over and see what's new with you my friend. Appreciate you! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@TreyBDrums Same here man!! Good to speak with you again! Nothing really new over here man, just been enjoying college marching band playing snare drum. It’s pretty great! Keep up the awesome covers bro!
Rock it!!!
It was time for some more Jake E Lee on here Dave! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼!
I missed your vid on this insanely priced 6 pair offering at Sweetater man! I will be using those sticks in a video real, real soon. 6 pair for 20 bucks - no way I'm not trying that bro. I'm paying 7.99 a pair right now and that's with the bulk discount
now we are talking, getting my boy Eric Singer some love!
Trey!!!!!
Beau! 🤘🤘🤘🤘 You good my friend?
@@TreyBDrums yea man I am good.. how about you.
Fuck yes man!!!!!
It's (Badlands album) is a fucking great album to this day my friend. Appreciate yo noticing that 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
