- Mega Man X, released for the Super Famicom/SNES late in the console's life is considered by many to be among the best games in the franchise. Mega Man X arguably set a new standard for the series and, for many, essentially replaced the gameplay style of the classic series. Introducing a new, fast-paced gameplay style, with unlockable armor pieces to improve X's combat capabilities and Energy Tanks that can be refilled, Mega Man X was the next-gen leap the series' fans had long awaited.

Yessss, my favorite Mega Man game in the whole series. I was thinking of recording a playthrough some time too.

@Jeiku-ox3zd there are two ways I do it, I switch it up depending on how I feel. The one I like to do the most is get all the Dr. Light power ups / equipment before beating any bosses. Which means I intentionally "kill" X after getting a power up, and repeating til I have all 4. It's just fun for me.
It's slower but I like going through all the levels with X being OP.
But I sometimes also do it in a faster order, beating the bosses as I get the upgrades, then doing a quick back to any level for anything that was missed. I think my "best" time is 1 hour 44 minutes or close to it doing it that way.
I might record both versions. If I do I'll let you know.
I set up my Elgato Neo capture card, hooked up to my SNES Mini to be able to record Mega Man X playthrough. I'm *hoping* to have the time to do a recording for ya some time this week.
