I use a concept 2 at CrossFit. I want something with a screen at home. Staring at that tiny C2 screen with meters, time or calories is rough after 15 minutes or so. I also don't want my bedroom to look like a CrossFit gym. And I haven't tried the Ergatta yet, but I'd love a rower that doesn't give that slack in the chain like the C2 does, it drives me nuts. I'm not training for actual rowing, I just need something to replace my long weekend runs. So, there are very valid reasons to want something other than a C2.
