I grew up in the 1960s and I saw Elvis. Not only did he have a great voice, he was also a master at entertaining his audience. He was The King for a reason.
Diana has an even greater voice, maybe the greatest voice I've ever heard (certainly the most beautiful). But her audience appeal is very different than Elvis's--hers is more of the jaw-dropping, stunned amazement type. And you can also be certain that whatever Diana sings, it will be spectacular!

But Diana's vocal just made the feel altogether different, as opposed to the airy sound of the original. The biggest difference is in the final segment where it's all instrumental in the original, while Diana ended it with one of the most memorable belts of all time.
Diana amazes me every single time as well. I love her different Renditions of songs, she makes them her own. What a beautiful dramatic contralto she is, also can be polyphonic.

Теперь ещё отчетливее слышно, что версия Дианы - никакой не кавер, как некоторые почему-то утверждают, - а совершенно новое произведение, великолепно исполненное, с невероятно мощным воздействием на слушателя. Его будут слушать, я уверен, ещё не один год, и будут слушать во всём мире. Надо отдать должное и автору аранжировки, послужившей основой для этой новой версии - Томми Профиту. И российским авторам, сильно изменившим его версию и максимально использовавшим в ней вокал Дианы. Но ассоциироваться она будет теперь, конечно, с одним именем: Диана Анкудинова.
Не представляю, кто бы, кроме неё, смог исполнить это настолько ошеломляюще...
Да, не кавер, но в целях продвижения лучше обозночать как кавер.
Хотя на самом деле - эта песня кавер на на другую аранжировку от 2019 года от Tommee Profitt, но мало кто знает данного композитора.

It's good to see how talent shines when given opportunity in professional enviroment.
She already trained her voice even further at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow where she studies, yet
she is still super young (18), and personal experience cannot be exchanged with the very much always needed learning, doing drills after drills after drills (Like Dimash).
So in this way it is good she can experience so many cool performances first hand, live, inspired, and also singing 9 songs from different genres will be challenging but rewarding in the long term.
Some details of this performance:
The ShowMaskGoon is a new TV show on Russian NTV channel, every saturday (5 episodes left, 4th already aired), where best/winners of 3 music shows (The Mask, You are Super, Superstar) perform, and vote giving 2 to 9 points to each other at every episode's end.
So those sitting up there are the other singers, Diana sits with them when others perform. Plus the guest star of each episode, this time it was Yusif Eyvazov (opera singer, tenor, he stood up during the performance).
They got only one 9 point, one 8 point, etc. So they are forced to give 2 points to someone, and they wont vote for themselves.
She got 7x 9 points, 1x 8 points this round. The guest star of this episode gave 1 point to everyone equally = 72 total.
In each round, the participants will be offered nine topics: for example, one will perform a folk song, the second - a song by a Grammy award winner, the third - a rock hit , etc. "
The nine categories are: "People's Hit", "Song of the End of the 20th Century", "Soviet Song", "Hit from Every Iron", "Song of Your Choice", "New Music", "Song from a Movie or Cartoon",
"Rock Hit" and "Songs of the Grammy Award Winners and Laureates".
This song in this first show is for the last category "Songs of the Grammy Award Winners and Laureates".

The audience and jury experienced pure magic that day. This was also a very different version from Elvis more rushed. I like his slower ballad style of his recorded versions. I believe this is a cover from Elvis also and the actual song predates Elvis by many decades.
