- Antarctica: the magical 7th continent and one of the last true wilderness areas on Earth - largely unchanged since the early explorers. It’s home to the world’s greatest concentration of wildlife, where penguins, seals and whales are the only permanent residents. Learn more about Quark Expeditions’ Antarctic voyages.

In 1991, Quark Expeditions took the first-ever group of commercial travelers to the North Pole on a transit of the Northeast Passage. In the three decades since that first ground-breaking trip, Quark Expeditions has been at the forefront of polar exploration, taking thousands of travelers on polar expeditions to remote parts of the Arctic and Antarctic, where no one else has set foot.

i dont know who directed this video... but you sir need to be directing films in hollywood. the quality of this production in everyway left me truly awestruck. impeccably done.
I'm here because of school but tbh this looks like an amazing experience and really enjoyable way to spend part of life
It’s on my bucket list
My Lordship, don’t say that lol I know, checking prices to go down this year 🙏🏻
My Lordship, cheers
Have you been yet?
When you go make sure you do the polar plunge, and take a good camera.
I also recommend when ashore to move away from the group a bit, find a spot close to the shore and sit. I did this on a few occasions and each time penguins came ashore right in front of me. Let the nature come to you.
I am in Ushuaia right now, as I watch this. I board the ship to head to Antarctica in 36 hours. Can't tell you how many people have said things like "Are you crazy?" and "I'd rather go to Hawaii." I should have just shown them this video. If they don't get it after watching this, they never will.
Yaaay, it's awesome to hear you are about to embark towards Antarctica! BTW, have you shared the video with them yet or are you waiting to make your own video while there? 😉
How was the experience? Make a video or write a blog so that we can get to know more.
Can you please tell me how much it costs
@@kenkennedy8719 this is not an inexpensive trip. Depending on the ship and experience you are looking for, the price will vary. If you have an email I will get you some information. Fred
How did it go?
this gave me chills, no pun intended
After watching this video ,I swear I'll do anything to get on this trip. Antartica I'm COMING!!!!!!!!!!1111
That's awesome Karan. We'd love for you to join us! Learn more about our Antarctic expeditions here: www.quarkexpeditions.com/en/antarctic
2:45 I thought he will say: " One thing, that people who visit Antartica are left with, is a desire to return with penguin and take it home, as a pet". :D
You tripping
Everyone should go to Antarctica 🇦🇶 at least once. It’s such an amazing experience
Hei
A machine that makes cold ice and snow should make glaciers big and turn global warming to global cooling.
It's math.. the type of machine that could do that would have to output more heat than the ice and snow it produces to provide cooling. Thermodynamics.
I wanna meet the Penguins
Going there, early March 2019, on a ship with only 54 passengers. To say that this video made the hair stand up on the back of my neck would be an understatement!
Sewer Jesus
how was the trip
this is the only continent i haven't visited and i am going to see it. it is my list to do before i turn 30!
That's amazing P Saowarat! 🙌 We'd love to have you on one of our voyages! You can learn more here: www.quarkexpeditions.com/en/antarctic
Please do go. Not many people can say they have visited all 7 continents
I really want to visit there. Does anyone have any advice on the best month to travel there that will guarantee that I will be able to get to shore and not be "locked out" due to ice?
Hi Sean, Our Antarctic trips happen in during the late austral spring and summer (November-March) when its warmer and we are able to reach the Antarctica Peninsula. For more information on when to go: www.quarkexpeditions.com/en/travel-tips/when-to-go
Pakistan is the best place to visit
especially fairy neelum valley
Title:Why Travel to Antarctica
Me:To see penguins. I LOVE PENGUINS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(edit) i cant go to Antarctica because i have problems when i feel cold.
Is there a 24 hours of Sun?
Hi Gabriel, On our expeditions to the Antarctic Peninsula, the daylight hours will generally range from 13 hours to 21 hours depending on the month, with December and January having the longest daylight hours in the season. Learn more about our Antarctic voyages here: bit.ly/2CcOQR0
I really want to visit Antarctica one day!!!
Went a few years ago with Quark. Absolutely fantastic. Nothing like kayaking amidst icebergs. The ship and crew were fantastic. Many educational lectures helped heighten the enjoyment. Did not do the polar plunge but many people did. Additionally even if you don't take a single photo you can later access online photos other people upload. Love Quark.
Show us the ice wall.
Amazing video. I would love to join the expedition !!
Glad to hear that Duc!

I will go to Antarctica because of the anime Sora Yori mo Tooi Basho!!!
Narrated by Solan Jensen(sp?)? Awesome Dude. He was a team member on our Franklin trip to Arctic in 2018. Hopefully I get to Antarctica with him as a leader...
I love your video. It's awesome to discover it.
It's like being on some other planet... Like Neptune or Uranus lol🤣
Have you ever been to Antarctica
@@YourPointOfViewPodcast no of course not..... I am just saying that it looks like a other planet.... 😅
What a beautiful & inspiring video.
I went with Quark Expeditions to Antarctica in Feb. 2018. One of the best trips of my life. The Staff and Crew were all Great. Thanks Quark. I hope to go back again in a few years.

@@evolvingdaily7762 $8,500.+. It was expensive.
@@rolandvillarreal2687 thanks sir
Stay blessed!
I don’t wanna be here blame school
My next place to visit
Cool travelling ...
I'm going to watch more of your videos. Great job.
Honestly this is one of my only goals in life. Ill do anything to get there.

yes
:)
math class.
Leave nature alone
Hi It’s lovely
As majestic as the sights may be all I can think of is what if the ship sinks in that frigid water.
That's a danger in most oceans, in the warmer ones maybe you'd survive longer but lots more 'things' that would like to eat you. With todays technology you're pretty safe.
bababooie
I very much agree Gabe
Here we go again
Wow just wow 🤩
Absolutely stunning! Would love to work together 🙏🏼

Looking for expedition companion. Late Nov or early Dec 2021. Prefer the Twin sharing over the Quad specially if the vessel doesnt have a mud room.

An amazing journey!
Traveling to the Antarctic Peninsula was one of the best things I have done, and Quark made it educational and memorable.
I’m looking forward to another opportunity to head south again, Ocean Endeavour was a great ship for the expedition.
I was on the peninsula for Remembrance Day, 11 November 2017, Quark made the minutes silence at 11am so special. With no fuss they ensured each zodiac headed out of sight of the ship and the the other zodiacs, so it was just you and the tranquility of Antarctica.
Please return to the Ross Sea side (with an icebreaker.). You were the only ones who went there . It is the side of the continent with the most history, geography and wildlife worthy of a multi week expedition. I’d book tomorrow if you again offered a Ross Sea excursion !
Hi Thomas, thanks for your comment! We agree with you, the Ross Sea is incredible. We'll pass along your comment to our Product team, as they are responsible for planning our upcoming seasons.
We recommend you join our newsletter to stay up to date on any future departures to this side of the Antarctic continent: www.quarkexpeditions.com/subscribe-to-our-newsletter
Have a good one!

On my bucket list too
Water is so cold there tbh
Which expedition did the narrator do on quarks website so I know?
Hi
Panic at my chemical falløut!, The message in this video of "Why Travel to Antarctica" could apply to any of our Antarctic voyages, but the imagery in this video is from the Antarctic Peninsula, which is our Antarctic Explorer: Discovering the 7th Continent voyage. You can find information on that voyage on our website here: www.quarkexpeditions.com/en/antarctic/expeditions/antarctic-explorer-discovering-the-7th-continent
Hopefully one day I can go. If I'm ever rich
So enchanting 😎👍
I would love to go there and feed penguins 🐧 :)
hate to disappoint, but you don't get to do that.
Amazing place
I really want to do this but idk if I have the money is it expensive?

😻😽
UN SUEÑO!
Ossammm
I'm going there on 12.22, so excited about it
Have a great expedition! :)
Wait in December?
backfire1853 isn’t it banned in to go during Winter? Or does Antarctica have a weird season cycle like Australia.
@@boroboro4294 December is their summer.
Went to the Antarctic in March this year with Qark. Amazing trip. Guides were really passionate about their fields and were only to happy to share their knowledge. 100% recommend Qark . Planning another trip to the Arctic with them in the future.
Quark is too expensive
