    I'm doing screenflow videos tomorrow for the Florida Insurance School online classes that I work on for the school I work with and I wanted to get a refresher on screenflow. After clicking on your video I noticed your name. My name is David A. Cox too...David Anthony Cox...and I'm into technology, programming, and video editing too. What a coincidence! :)

    This is an excellent overview of Screenflow. Easily the best I've found! Thank you so much for your thorough, clear and engaging video! A word about Vimeo: I'm currently using their PRO version to host private videos. From what I've found, they're the best option for hosting secure private videos that load quickly. They're cheaper than Wistia and load more consistently than Amazon S3. Just my experience! If you have another suggestion for hosting private videos, I'm all ears!

    Hi David: Great video - lots of great information & the pace of the tutorial is ideal. I did not know about the "spy glass" feature to match colours - great tip. I was frustrated by not being able to have name backgrounds as they have in iMovie--from where I made the transition--and as I though, it's an extra from Flowtility. Thanks so much - Cheers Rick

  • @gent997
    @gent997 8 лет назад

    One great advantage of using Vimeo instead of RUclips is: Licensing. Vimeo is (as i know) the cheapest video streaming plattform where your content belongs to you. That is espacially important, when you got video material from other companies and want those to be streamed on your website. YT has only the standard licence where the licence is transferred to google or creative-commons, where everyone can do whatever they want with your (or foreign) content.
    And it is possible to monetarize your content on vimeo, too. But that's not the reason why we've chosen vimeo.

    Just wanted to say that I have been using Screenflow for a few years now and this is the best tutorial that I have seen on RUclips. I really enjoyed it and learned some new things, like I didn't know it has a chroma key function! Also, I appreciate you taking the time to demonstrate how to use the Flowtility packs, I went ahead and bought them. One question, do you have a slick way to sync multiple video angles or video to audio. I have seen where others have zoomed in on the timeline and lined up a clap. The clip seems to move at "notches" and not smooth enough to get it exact. Keep up the great work. By the way, if you visit my channel you can see what I have done with Screenflow, it's a great program! Thanks...

    David. Excellent Tutorials. I am new to ScreenFlow, but a long-time editor. I need to edit a screen capture shot to match to an existing narration. The larger instructional video will be edited on Premiere Pro CC 2018. I am just creating a few screen capture scenes using Screen Flow. Question #1: Am I correct in assuming that I can import a reference .wav file of the narration, capture the screen shot, and then apply actions to follow the points in the narration? 2nd Question: I am producing the final video in HD 1920 X 1080. In order to obtain the highest final resolution, is it better to set up the ScreenFlow project preset so the screen recording is constrained to 1920X1080, or to record the at the full size of the browser window on my monitor, and then adjust the scale and framing in PremierePro, where the rest of this video I am making is going to be edited? Thank you for your time.

    Great video. Very helpful and you surely know your stuff. Pretty harsh assessment of Vimeo. You pay to get extra features (especially protection of your content) so I don't think it's as simple as you described.
    Most importantly though, this is a great video. Exceptional production. Very generous of you to put it on RUclips for the world to enjoy.

    I got a 4K monitor in addition to an iMac 21,5". Does it matter which screen you use recording?? I am thinking towards the final product that might be shown on a laptop with 1280x960 or other resolutions!
    Any tips?

    Nice job.. I liked how you commented on copyright material and gave a reason not to use and a solution how to get some music to use the lawful way. I'm just getting into teaching this way and it looks like this software really works well for that. I follow a musician on mixing who told me about this software and he talks and teaches with a mic but with his DAW shows you how the music sounds after making changes.That audio isn't being recorded with the mic he talks into. So I was wondering how that is done? I didn't hear you talk about that. So maybe you could teach that or reply to me. TY. David....TC

    Hi and thanks for the tutorial. There was one thing that I think it is missing (at least for me) is the face recording of your self. So, my question is that, how can I control this, if do not wish to record myself, only record the screen of the computer?

    That was a great explanation, thanks very much David. Does Screenflow allow/provide the mechanism to speed up a recorded video at say, 2 or 3 x so as to reduce the overall replay time? I can't find anything in their video tutorials or User Guide other than reference to increasing/reducing the speed of a clip. Nothing about applying it to the entire video.
